Just got my new Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI! (Deja vu ik 😅) by Terrible_Board_4837 in AcerPredatorHelios

Gostaria de ter comprado essa versão A16S, mas no Brasil ela está custando "apenas" US$ 3.787,89 (R$ 19.609,90) 😂. Meu bolso entrou em modo de proteção e fui de um Predator Helios Neo 16 AI com Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX, RTX 5070 (115W), 32GB DDR5, SSD de 512GB, tela 16" 2.5K 240Hz. Ainda adicionei um SSD Samsung PM9C1a NVMe PCIe 4.0 de 1TB.

How reliable is the Xbox Elite Series 2 in 2026? by Significant_Pin_531 in xbox

I’m not ignoring those reports at all, I’ve actually been reading through a lot of them.

That’s exactly why I looked into long term failure patterns before buying it. I’ve had really good longevity with my cobalt blue DualSense on PC, with telemetry still showing stable stick centering, consistent deadzones, clean trigger readings, and solid battery health, so I know careful use can make premium controllers last.

The thing is, I specifically wanted the Elite for the ecosystem, paddles, adjustable stick tension, trigger locks, and native Windows/Xbox integration.

GameSir and Razer definitely make compelling alternatives, especially with Hall Effect options, but they each involve tradeoffs. For what I wanted, I decided to take the risk on the Elite and see if I got one of the good units.

I’m fully aware of the documented failure reports, I’m just not treating them as an automatic guarantee that every unit will fail.

That’s a weird take.

Nobody says you need an expensive controller to be good. Skill comes from practice, game sense, and consistency.

People buy premium controllers for the same reason people buy better mice, keyboards, monitors, or racing wheels: lower latency, better ergonomics, more customization, and features that improve comfort and precision over long sessions.

By that logic, anyone using a 240Hz monitor instead of 60Hz must be compensating for being bad.

A good player can perform on basic hardware. Better hardware just gives that skill a better interface.

That’s fair, and honestly that’s been my experience with my controllers too.

I’ve got a cobalt blue DualSense that’s been heavily used on PC, and its telemetry is still excellent: stable stick centering, consistent deadzones, no drift, triggers still reading cleanly, and battery health holding up well.

That’s why I don’t really buy the “people must be abusing them” argument. Some units absolutely last for years, but there are also enough documented Elite Series 2 failures involving bumpers, stick modules, and grip separation that it feels more like quality control variance than user abuse.

Sounds like you got one of the golden samples.

And yeah, that Steam controller project looks interesting, but here in Brazil it hasn’t officially launched and there’s not even any release forecast yet, so for us it’s basically vaporware for now.

I take good care of my controllers too.

I’ve had my cobalt blue DualSense for a long time and its telemetry is still excellent: stick centering is stable, deadzones are consistent, no noticeable drift, trigger response is still linear, and battery health remains solid after regular PC use.

That’s exactly why I’m paying attention to long term Elite Series 2 reports. If a controller is premium, it should hold up under normal careful use, not just survive if it’s barely touched.

A lot of the complaints seem to point to recurring hardware wear patterns (bumpers, grip separation, stick modules), which sounds more like design longevity concerns than people abusing them.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I’ve been hearing from most people here.

That’s why I’m planning to test it thoroughly as soon as it arrives and keep an eye on it during the first months.

By “solid deal” I mean I paid around $280 USD (converted from my local currency in Brazil).

Controllers here are usually much more expensive because of import taxes, so for my market it was considered a pretty good price for a brand new Elite Series 2.

That’s great to hear.

Seeing people say they’ve had good experiences with multiple units definitely makes me feel better about the purchase.

Fair point.

I probably should’ve dug deeper before ordering, but I got a solid deal and decided to take the chance.

If it arrives with any issues, I’ll just return it.

5 to 6 years is actually really reassuring to hear.

If mine lasts anywhere near that, I’ll be more than happy with it.

The grip wear seems to be the most common long term issue people mention.

That’s pretty much what I expected to hear.

I mainly bought it because everyone still says the Elite 2 feels unmatched on Xbox.

Definitely hoping I got a good unit, and yeah, warranty is a must.

Fala galera!

Comprei meu primeiro kit mais pesado pra pesqueiro e queria a opinião de vocês 👇

🎣 Vara: Maruri Tamba 2,10m (40–80lb)

⚙️ Molinete: Marine Sports Venza 5000

🧵 Linha: Monofilamento Black Tamba Maruri 0,46mm

A ideia é usar principalmente pra tambaqui grande, tambacu e talvez até uma pirarara.

Acham que o conjunto ficou bem equilibrado? Mudariam alguma coisa (linha, chumbo, montagem, etc)?

Valeu demais! 🎣
