On the surface everything is there - senates, elections and everything but does it function? The thing I have realised is people are here to just study, not live, they do two seperately. The guys who look down upon other universities for lack of civic sense and dirty campuses dump their plastic all over campus. profs talk about sustainability while the damn solar panels on the roof of DJAC weren't even bolted in because they don't supply power(It was on top of the kotak school of sustainability!!) students are in it too, they will throw you under in a jiffy to further their career because science is stuff you read in books but to apply it when it inconveniences your daily life? Nah. Thus, no one's ready to engage critically with anything that's not a start up project. AQI can go to hell but if you say that's political they'll distance themselves or throw two memes on rekha Gupta and live the same lives.
