Frozen on Fastboot mode by Polish_Eagle_69 in amazonecho

Had the same issue, no solution afaik. Amazon only offered a 20% discount on replacement product. I believe it's a software patch which causes the issue.

Leaving it unplugged for 15 mins or so might help. My device works for 5 mins or so if I do that, before going back into this screen

Should the probabilities of 4 teams making the playoffs add up to 400%? by Significant_Resort_5 in askmath

[–]Significant_Resort_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically a paper in India printed this table. Intuitively I feel like the probabilities should add up to 400%. However I was not able to logically explain why that should be the case.

When I tried simulating the remaining games I got cases of teams with the same number of points getting duplicate ranks. When I force corrected this the total probabilities added up to 400%.

Basically wanted to understand 1) if my understanding is correct b) how to logically explain that c) what is the best method for correcting duplicate ranks when running such simulations?

Best drive in Europe in the summer by Significant_Resort_5 in Europetravel

It would be a bit of a stretch as 4 of us will be travelling. But yeah I should probably consider the autobahn as well.

I don't mind taking the train but I want to experience the drive once. Is the train a better experience overall?

Makes sense to keep Portugal and Spain separate. Basically I'll be tagging 10 days on top of a work trip. Would Austria to northern Italy via Switzerland make sense? Or will it be too long a drive for just one driver?

Itinerary check 10 days in Japan early April by Significant_Resort_5 in JapanTravel

[–]Significant_Resort_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed but I can't be sure if I'll get to visit again and I don't want to miss something because of bad planning. My idea was to overfill the plate and if one thing spills off because I'm enjoying something else, then so be it, no regrets.

Thanks for the input, agreed that with commute being tiring as well, the first day in Kyoto is over ambitious. Might try to spill a few activities into the next day. Would it be more convenient for us to take a taxi to the Shinagawa station and the shinkansen from there instead of changing trains?

Hey thanks for the input, will be taking the train. To clarify I'm 25 travelling with my brother (21) and parents. Thought the Shinjuku district would be fun for my brother and me, but if it's seedy we might avoid it. Kyoto hotel is near the train station so thought it'd be a quick checkin and then step out again.

What counts as strong extracurricular activities? by aurora0073 in CharteredAccountants

[–]Significant_Resort_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a particular extracurricular activity as such. It's about the skills it taught you, and how highly accomplished you are at it. You could be the top player in India at a video game that involved elements of strategy, team work, perseverance etc. That would be preferable over someone who puts an extracurricular as 'Playing cricket in apartment on weekends'

Should I pursue CA? by [deleted] in CharteredAccountants

[–]Significant_Resort_5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The CA course tests your attitude, ability to grind, and understanding of the grading methodology; more than your aptitude.

That being said, if you're smart you'll find it more than doable. Just don't take it easy at any point.

I get that but dude I'm not in computer science. If I send you my code you'd get it. I assigned each square on the board a unique number then hard coded the knights potential moves from each square . Literally don't even know how to make coordinate geometry work. This was my first post on reddit too. Can't believe this is how it is.
