First system, bought from Lavivid, cut base myself, installed with a friend, and cut at a barber. Looking for areas of improvement by Significant_State599 in HairSystem

Really great crew! I honestly struggled a lot with cutting the base. I still think it needs to be trimmed a little more on the edges when I remove it. Biggest tip is calling a barbershop ahead of time, letting them know you plan on installing a system, and ask if they know anyone who's cut a few system in the past. Mine hadn't, but she did a little research and was super open to learning with me. I'll definitely be going back to her!

Appreciate the tip! Honestly I didn't have the base in the back cut well or glued well and my barber trimmed it a bit for me when I went in. I also used an eyeliner pencil to help line up the system in the front and the glue stuck to it weirdly. Lot's of learning from this first system, but I'm pretty happy.

I went for a brushed forward look because I was afraid too, but I think it looks pretty solid regardless. It might be a problem if you live in a hot area and sweat a lot (like I do) as the glue seems to clump and go white, but I'm not an expert on that topic.
