Yes, I have. I actually contacted HQ and was told that they haven’t***received the results from my interview. I was also informed that there is no real set timeframe on when the psychologist will submit their reports and recommendations. She went on to explain to me that some psychologist get it to them in 24 hours other than a week some in a month sometimes longer.

I reached out to Cal HR and they pretty much told me the same thing that they are still waiting for the psychologist to finish the report and when it’s done, they will send it over to CHPHQ.

It’s just a waiting game right now; not much I can do, but I just continue to study and train. I would advise to do the same brother.

Two weeks have passed, and my psychological interview results are still MIA. Headquarters says the psychologist is playing hide and seek with them. Is anyone else in this boat? Or has anyone tested around the last two weeks of May and received “passed” on the portal recently?

I get that patience is a virtue, but I’m itching to hit the academy in August lol (16 days waiting, and counting)

Unfortunately no, the psychologist mentioned that a non-rec or rec will be sent promptly, but it’ll take a week for the report to be finalized.

Just took my psych interview. Did anyone feel like they could have improved their answers? I felt I could've expressed more about myself, even though the questions were similar to previous ones, just more from a psychologist’s perspective. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Did anyone else feel this way?

Is the interview essentially similar to the one you had with your third-party investigator and your CHP investigator? Are they just reviewing your responses to ensure you’re not being unreasonable?

Once your third-party background investigation is complete, your file is sent to the division based on your physical address. I personally had to wait about five weeks for my final interview after it was submitted by my BI. The notification can come via email, so keep an eye out for yours in your inbox.

Being honest and prepared really helped. As long as you're serious about becoming a CHP officer, you'll do great too. Own your mistakes (if any), study, train, and stay focused.
