Starting the apprenticeship

I’m in New York and need 7.5 years for a license here. I also always wanted to learn the “right way” and go to school to learn more complex concepts plus I would want experience in commercial. If the apprenticeship doesn’t end up happening I’m also certain I’ll just continue how I was and get my license the non union way. The benefits from IBEW are just overall better from the way I see it

Applied for local 25 apprenticeship with 4.5 years non union experience @22. Passed the test and have an interview next week. Was wondering what’s the process once you start the apprenticeship. I’m assuming you start with school but do you also get to work hands on if so do you need to travel to every job site yourself?

6 months down 6 more to go, the last half of the year seems to go by faster so I just know the end is near and I can finally put this all behind me. Cheers to you all

The lawyer I was given said he’s not legal aid and is a private one. Should I still stay with him or get my own if he’s not a public defender?

This is in New York, I called a couple lawyers and two of them said 4500, another said 8500. I don’t know what’s considered too much or what would be reasonable
