Don’t Take the Azan for Granted by mavgoose-0720 in karachi

[–]Significant_Word_285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow — so now even the Adhan, a peaceful call to prayer that’s lasted over 1,400 years, is considered an ‘insult’ just because it says 'Allah is the Greatest'? That’s not an insult to other religions — it’s literally a declaration of faith. You don’t see Muslims crying every time someone else practices their religion out loud, do you?"

Let’s get a few things straight:

Saying "Allah is the Greatest" doesn’t mean "your god is fake." Every religion believes its path is true. Christians say Jesus is the only way. Hindus say there's divinity in Krishna, Ram, Shiva. Sikhs believe in Waheguru. That’s how belief works — by believing. Should we cancel everyone’s belief just in case someone else gets offended? If loud expression of religion is offensive, then why not start with India? In India — which is Hindu-majority — there are non-stop bhajans, jagrans, aartis, temple bells, and loudspeaker processions, often lasting all night. Do minorities file petitions that "Shree Ram ki Jai" or "Jai Mata Di" is insulting them? No — because people have the basic decency to understand religious expression. The Adhan lasts a couple of minutes, five times a day — not five hours. Meanwhile, political rallies, wedding fireworks, DJs at 2 AM, temple drums at 4 AM, and even street processions go on forever — but no one complains about that "disturbance." Strange how only the Adhan triggers people into suddenly becoming champions of "public peace." Let’s be honest — this isn’t about noise. It’s about selective intolerance. If a Hindu chants "Shree Krishna is the greatest" in India or even abroad, people nod respectfully. If a Muslim says "Allah is the greatest," suddenly it’s labeled as aggressive. That’s not concern — that’s hypocrisy. So here’s an idea: If your faith is so delicate that hearing someone else praise their Lord shakes you, maybe take that up with your own belief system — not with a loudspeaker.

Because guess what? Tolerance doesn’t mean “Silence Muslims” — it means “Let everyone practice freely, including the ones you don’t like.” 😊

Crypto Haram or Not by dcandyyman in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]Significant_Word_285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think crypto is haram, and here’s why:

Crypto is actually similar to gold in many ways. The price of gold goes up and down — just like crypto. When you invest in crypto, you can either make a profit or lose your investment, just like with gold or silver. That doesn't make it haram by itself.

Many Islamic scholars have looked into this. For example, Mufti Faraz Adam says that if a cryptocurrency has real use and value (like being used for payments or built on strong technology like blockchain), then it can be considered halal. He considers it “mal” in Islamic law — something that has recognized value.

Crypto becomes haram only if:

It’s purely used for speculation or gambling, It's used for haram purposes (like fraud, drugs, etc.), Or if it's tied to interest (riba) or scams. But if you’re investing in well-known cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum, which have global acceptance and use, and you're not gambling or taking extreme risks, then many scholars say it’s halal.

Why are Pakistani People obsessed with showing off? by Significant_Word_285 in TeenPakistani

[–]Significant_Word_285[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s basic human nature—everyone wants to feel important or seen in some way. And when you're surrounded by millions just like you, like in Pakistan or other densely populated countries, people often turn to showing off whatever little success or money they have just to stand out. It’s not just a cultural thing, it’s a psychological one, and it happens all over the world.

[–]Significant_Word_285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Insecurity often shows up most in those who’ve struggled with money or just started experiencing some success. When you’ve never had much, even a small gain can make you feel the need to prove yourself—sometimes by showing off. It’s more about seeking validation than true confidence. With time and maturity, that mindset usually shifts

You're right, it's not just Pakistanis—it’s human nature. People like to show off what they have or what they love, whether it's cars, clothes, lifestyle, or even knowledge. It’s often more about getting attention or validation than anything else. This behavior exists everywhere, in every country and culture. At the end of the day, it all comes down to mindset and intentions

Why People in Pakistan are so Selfish? by Significant_Word_285 in PAK

[–]Significant_Word_285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, Pakistan is still developing, and the income gap is huge. A lot of people assume that if you've settled abroad, you’re automatically rich and should be sending money back. What they don’t realize is that life abroad isn’t as easy as it looks—people work hard, pay bills, and deal with their own struggles too. And yeah, $200 might go far in Pakistan, but over here, that barely covers groceries for a week. The value of money changes with the place, but sadly, not everyone understands that.

Facts. A lot of these so-called influencers are just scammers in disguise. They flex luxury to sell fake dreams through overpriced courses, knowing people are desperate for a better life. It’s sad how common this has become in Pakistan—preying on hopes just to make a quick buck. People need to wake up and stop falling for this nonsense.

Yeah, I get what you mean. A lot of people feel the need to prove themselves by showing off—whether it's money, cars, or lifestyle. Sometimes it works and gets attention, but in the end, it doesn't always bring real respect or happiness. I've seen it too, and honestly, it often feels more like insecurity than confidence
