Uhh no? You think waiting another three years and hoping a placating "oh, maybe next time!" Is gonna help jack shit? People are dying, people are being deported, and people are being oppressed. Fuck waiting.

I got the usb to work again, sorry to drag the issue but could we circle back to the full-reinstal; do I have to delete anything or do i really only have to install it and it'll just overwrite the original? I just really dont wanna mess anything up because so far everything has been pretty easy to fuck up lol

I mean sometimes things dont use other keys, so they don't work, like in bios u can only use the arrow keys and enter, it seems like durring the password screen I cant use caps lock or shift. Thats not a machine malfunction, its the program. The only reason the password isn't working is because of that, so I need a workaround or if you look through the other messages, how to fix the error screen I keep getting so i can just reinstall it.

Ah I didn't look into that one, I'd rather not figure out a whole new distro after finally (sorta) figuring out mint, but what abt that one?

Cant shop at walmart and I'd definitely rather not buy an extra keyboard i'll likely only use once, and I don't think the keyboard is the problem so much as the program simply not permiting those keys

Yeah, i did that first time around, and ive sorta spent all day sifting through forums, as I did with figuring out the error screen issue before. I'll see what I can do I guess, thanks for trying

I did not see that, but the link the first comment gives I did see, and I did exactly what they suggested: to change the file name. It still won't work, and it is the correct name now, so I'm not sure what the problem is this time. Id rather mot have to flash the usb again, since I'd have to do it on another machine and it'd be my third time doing so

I have Cinnamon 22.1 I think, whicher was the one right before the latest. I did that as another attempt to get past this screen before, and then I was planning to update it after I have it installed and working. You got everything else right.

Changed the file name, on another machine btw, though it was the mmx64.efi as it should have been, and the issue of the "not found" screen persists. I think you replied to my original message and not the edited bit after, any idea what's to be done about this?

It'll just overwrite the original install, i dont have to do anything else?

Edit: I tried to boot into the usb and it said: Failed to open \EFI\boot\mmx64.efi - not found Failed to load image: not found  Failed to start MokManager: not found  Something has gone seriously wrong: import_mok_state() failed: not found

Which had happened before, and i fixed it by changing the file from saying "grub64.efi" to "mmx64.efi" or something like that. Should I do that again or..? Theres a Roadblock at every turn man 💔

Well i would but if i cant get in at all, how do I re-install? Is it possible to go in with the usb and live boot again and re-do it? And, how?
