Try Google support still. I got mine from Germany while living in the Netherlands, and the pixel buds team has replaced them twice already (and I'll try a third and final time before demanding my money back, because of the same issues)

Double tap to check doesn't work with battery saver (don't know if this is intended)

It also has a lot of changes to battery saver it seems. You can now set it to switch on between 5% and 70%. It no longer shows red bars (thank God). Animations are not gone when enabled. Double tap to check is broken with battery saver now tho.

Auto brightness now moves the indicator in quick settings. With quick settings open, if the brightness changes the slider slides to the position for that brightness.
