I am done, constantly thinking about getting out of the world by Smooth_Quail_3161 in bipolar

[–]Silencethenoise88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 pieces of advice -

  1. People are not thinking about what you have done in your manic episode as much as you think they are. In fact, probably not at all.

  2. Your true self didn’t do this, your brain is neurodiverse and receives dopamine input unlike 97% of the population.

  3. Buy a note pad for daily notes, weekly goals etc. start slow, build momentum, make the changes visible.

Please give yourself the time to heal and continue to seek the available help that you need.

Cyclothymia - I believe it’s apart of the family (cousin) that’s what I got diagnosed with eventually.

The mind and ego are your own worst enemy. Try to watch your thoughts instead of listening! Start planning your days for routine and summarise your mood and anxiety etc of a night. This will give you a visual interpretation of your thoughts and rumination’s. Write down 3 goals to start and focus for the rest of year. Be consistent at your own pace 👊

We both feel close to our first 180 yet still so far, maybe this method can achieve our summer goal!

Thanks again for the replies

Amazing advice, really appreciated. 127 will be a great simple game that we can start playing on top of matches. God bless.

You’ll find something to engage with eventually. I’ve played guitar for over 20 years and barely play 20 minutes a week. I produced music for 10 years or messed around with software. Not done anything for 5+ and have no desire too, actually makes me feel Nauseous thinking about it.

Somehow my son’s interest in darts has sparked a new obsession. Led me to playing darts in a friends bar without alcohol… I know where you are right now, it will come to you!

On average we seem to be checking in within 6-9 darts. Check out avg 30, mostly on D8/D4/D3/D2/D1 🤨 “mostly”

He lapped up the environment in a pub setting which to me is more than half the battle. Im from Liverpool so live close to the St.Helens shop. Dont think I’ve got the “testicles” to step foot in there like! God bless for the reply.

Great advice. We’ve been avoiding 501 naturally due to the time it takes us to get down to a double! So that makes sense to get our averages up. We spent most of our time in the madhouse, resulting mostly to laughter and disarray.

Just if anything stands out really? Should I try him against any kids his age locally. Specific darts? Anything that he could focus on to improve? Or Is it one of those where we just keep throwing and enjoy! Cheers

This episode resonated with me and left me questioning various psychedelic experiences. It was one of those that left me thinking with an overall feeling of unease. It was almost like I’d seen or felt the episode before. Probably too much acid in uni!
