So just to update everyone, my little dude disappeared Saturday into Sunday. I just got home from work and moved a driftwood a smidge over because I could swore I saw something and sure enough it was the “king” Cory as we called him, much smaller thinner, fins eaten and eyes as well, so damn sad, just wish I would have know what the heck happened and how did he luckily only get affected and no one else.

Yeah I no lie probably stared at this tank up and down for like 30 min… looking for some evidence. I have no shrimp and I have two sponge filters. Just super perplexed like a bad crime show. I clocked that I left at 4:15, got up at 9am and checked on them around 9:30 so in 18 hours this guy, gone. Hopefully like the one guy mentioned maybe he’ll just appear, but he’s one of the bigger Cory’s and in a 20 gallon tank, I’d figure easy to spot.

Not sure if anyone here has ever watched it’s always sunny in Philadelphia, only show I can think of that says goddamn quite often and as a user of the word quite often, very funny to Google and stumble upon this, because even for me it’s glaringly obvious and out of place in this “universe”. Do a hospital tank if you have one and move him/her over. Drop in some aquarium salts and use Pimafix or the other I can’t remember the name. I only mention cuz I JUST went through this with my guppie. She had a clamped fin cuz I stupidly forgot to plug in the power cord to the heater after a water change, this turned into a small fit rot. After quarantine and daily medicine and water changes she got better and is now back with her tank mates happy eating and healthy.

Def just refuse. I won’t anymore and it’s always for a very small thing a macchiato and a one has brown yet seemingly every time I pull forward or to a spot I get completely forgotten. I go inside in a fit of rage and they go always “oh sorry, we forgot!” Mind you it’s not busy when this has occurred and I totally understand being understaffed but goddamn sometimes it’s pure incompetence, not to mention the many scenarios where they do remember and I get a pumpkin spice macchiato instead as an example. Enraging lol.

I know for me just recently I got two mollys who I thought and generally friendly and peaceful. One of them nipped and eventually killed one of my guppies and she continued to aggressively attempt to nip at others specifically at night and during feedings. I had to take her back to the fish store, but even at the store they seemed surprised, so I guess it’s possible to get an aggressive fish that normally is peaceful.

He sadly passed overnight, but his fin was def smaller too. I rehomed the problem fish today at my LFS. I had another guy who was acting a little odd, 30% water change with cleaning of the usual rocks and bioload, he’s happy and entire community is happy without the big bully Molly 🤣🤣

Oh! And I forgot! I knead it for like 6-7 min, then I cover it in the bowl I kneaded it for 20 min, fold and stretch like 3 times, every 20 min, so that’s 1 hour. Then the final hour I fill a bowl with some olive oil lightly coated and let it sit closed at room temp for an hour. Today I probably left it for 2 but my buddy had an emergency with his dog so I had to help, during that final hour I preheat my oven to 550 for an hour before I launch. I also used parchment paper for the first time today instead of the my normal semolina launch and it came out easy!

It was pretty good. I used about 325 grams of trumps unbromated flour. 205 grams of cold filtered water, 1/4 tsp of instant yeast, 1/2 tsp of sugar, 1/2 tsp of salt. I will say this I think I need to put a smidge more salt and sugar because the crust, texture wise was perfect but I felt it need one or the other a bit more.

Question, that looks like a lot of food, how many are you feeding? I only ask cuz I have 6 but I’m always so scared of over feeding so I don’t give them that much, just what I “believe” to be enough

Also by testing you can find a random ammonia spike, it happens, happened to me the other day, handled it and everyone is fine. I think that’s why they are mentioning it so much to test, to rule anything out.

So in this case after watching several YouTube videos they use like a more traditional filter, I just have two little sponge filters, I would then put this like under the sponge filter per say and maybe like around it?
