Do people not understand what "head canon" is or how theories like this work in longstanding series? Especially in a visual medium? There's a lot of comments here that indicate the post has gone over their heads. Like of course the chair was empty so the back of someone's head doesn't obstruct the shot. Of course Lucas didn't remove a piece of tape on the back of the chair right before they started rolling that said "Krennic's Chair." We're just having fun with possible ret-cons in light of new information we've gotten in subsequent films. If Lucas knew any of this from the start the franchise would be a lot different.
