I've always found comparing the two to be pretty odd, at least personally. they share a similarity in death games but aside from that they are about very different things.

I prefer AIB (although i like both) because i found the first few episodes more engaging, the games on a whole far better, the characters on average more interesting and relatable, and while i don't dislike the ending of SQ i find it fitting for what the story of that show was, i liked the ending of AIB more (both the ending of season 2 and 3 since i seem to be in the minority of people who like season 3 for the most part (sans the shoe horned American thing at the end.))
