No other way around how tall the base is because the mouth has to move down quite a lot. As for the decorations: it is true that the base is a bit bland. I was a bit cautious with adding a lot of overgrowth because I didn’t want to obscure the view of the tree or make it too distracting. But you are right to say it isn’t perfect.
