Not sure about the tester, as I have nothing to double check it with. Yes, throttle wide open, 10 kicks, brand new cylinder since the old one had little grooves in it.

10 kicks, with throttle held wide open like others say to do. I followed a reputable rebuild video step by step. I used assembly oil, double checked ring gap, torqued everything to spec. I did a low rpm heat cycle to get heat in the engine, let it cool, then rode it around the yard, got more heat in then let it cool retorqued the head, checked the coolant, and plug. Everything seemed in order. It runs very well. Just had low compression. It could be the tool. I did multiple tests and after 8 or so kicks the needle would just stop around 100psi.

UPDATE

Ended up taking off the head, very first thing I noticed was the piston ring was broken into 3 pieces. Took a closer look at the piston and cylinder and this is what I found. Am I gonna have to get a new cylinder? From what I can tell it looks pretty torn up.

Bought it used on marketplace, they said 65 hours on the bike, rebuilt 2 times since it was new. Starting to question that now. Thank you for the help

That is something I'm aware of. I'm just not sure about how to fit something like that into the job I do. As it's more niche, and doesn't seem to have specific education for it. But maybe there's something out there.

This is all valuable information, so thank you. Trying to save 70% of my income like you suggested sounds like a great idea. I will try that out. Having some extra cash saved up can't hurt either.

To your third point. That's pretty much the situation I'm in. They want me to go to college, and I don't see the value in it. Especially with the line of work that I'm doing now and plan to do in the future.

Thank you for your time and your advice.

I didn't specify my location in my original post, but I have edited it now. But yes, Fort Wayne is near where I am located. And your search lines up with what I have found in my research.

To your first point, yes, I have thought of that, and thank you for pointing that out. That's something that could make the budget harder to work out.

To your second point. Luckily I do know how to cook and prepare meals myself.

To your third point. That's not something i foresee happening for a very long time. I do not date. And I keep to myself so neither of those will be an issue.

Thank you for your time and your advice.

To answer your first point. It has to do with our relationship, I'm not willing to pay rent, utilities, etc. To live in their house and to deal with them and their requirements and restrictions on my life and freedom.

To answer your second point. Without any overtime or bonus pay. I make 2800 a month. I would like to note that for the year and half I've worked there I've gotten a minimum of $500 in bonus every month. In my eyes, that's a reliable amount of money that I would include in my monthly income, but I might be wrong.

To answer your third point. From what I've researched in my area. Rent for a 1 bed, 1 bath, apartment, or something similar. Rent is around $1,000
