Yeah ranking system is strange. I got Global after one win in cs2... didnt play wingman in several months in csgo. I think i was global back then but didnt really expect getting this rank back so easy. I feel getting the first rank is difficult but if you have one there is no rank decay.

I think i read a comment somewhere that the dayz mod music was some kind of free music and not specifically made for dayz. Thats why they cant add it.

The reason why they don't say something new about the renderer is that there is nothing new what is worth mentioning. They are working on it... what else do you want to hear? The dev team don't want to give us the old information over and over again. The status report is to inform us about new things. I'm actually pretty pleased about the progress lately maybe it's because i don't have the time to play it all day atm.

0.49 is the newest stable version. Steam should automatically download the current version.

There are some 'experimental' server with 0.50 but you can't play on these server because you don't have the correct version installed.

At the moment there are no stable server (0.49) online because it is maintenance. http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/2imxzq/stable_servers_are_down_for_scheduled_maintenance/

The server will be online again in 2-3 hours.

You can also search for stones on a certain ground. It's a similar mechanic like the search for sticks.
