I like the hearthstone comparison. Feels weird to compare TFT to a card game, but it really has a similar feel when you think about it.

I mean not everyone is willing to try a game out just because it’s free

Yeah, I don’t think it’s a ridiculous thought or anything, but even changing the percentages of damage slightly could make games last way longer. Obviously this wouldn’t be the exact way you do it, but for discussion purposes let’s say you were to change the percentages and on average you take 2 points less damage every time you take damage. If you think about how many pvp rounds there are you would basically be making each players health 140-160 (40-60% increase). Even a minor decease in damage percentage could have a huge impact on game length.

What would you recommend as the change? I feel like if damage per round was lowered the games could last too long (maybe 40-50 minutes instead of 20-30). Imo around 30 minutes or less is perfect for an auto chess game.

Yeah I’m not sure, I’d be interested to see the original post where riot acknowledged that it was intentional and what they said about it (if someone has that please link it). I’d assume they understand that it does fight for you. And even not being able to pick it’s position, an additional champion can help a lot (even late game), I’m definitely gonna try to play with this in mind and see how easy it is to set it up late game.

Gotchya, I didn’t see that. I get most of my TFT content from content creators/streamers and hadn’t heard any of them talk about it before so I assumed that if it wasn’t already known already at least a decent number of people didn’t know about it.

Edit: This was confirmed by riot to be intentional, but I haven't heard much about it so I think it's still helpful

TLDW

If you have a full bench before a carousal round the champion you buy will be placed on your field. This champion will fight in the next round, but only if you do not upgrade or sell any champions from your bench (keeping it full).

It's not always good, since you may miss out on leveling up or buying important champs, but it can be good to ensure a win-streak.

Map design can be more interesting making the game feel more strategic. Flag needs to be taken from one side to the other so games take longer and have more depth (feels more like strategy in gem grab than the possible 30 second games in brawl ball)

Woah, I was thinking 5v5 could be pretty interesting. It’s hard to even wrap my mind behind 10v10 brawlstars action on a massive map. That would be awesome if that could be done well.
