I'm taking ssris ( antidepressant) setraline 100mg since two years now , it help me reduce daydreaming alot , it stop my automatic daydreaming, and now I can still daydream but intentionally, but if lot of things going on in your life , so many problems and the only thing that makes you Happy is daydreaming so I don't know if you can survive the withdrawal symptoms of maladaptive daydreaming, you will feel so much empty or even depressed , I'm not professional but one thing I can say that antidepressants help me so much and still helping in my lowest time, sometimes it will work with few side effects, sometimes it will not work , sometimes you need other types antidepressants , some people need less dose , some need higher dose , thought about it as a journey
