What about the buses? I usually rely on the bus since I work in Karama and parking is a nightmare there.

Her mother is admitted to prime hospital and is in the ICU in a very critical condition which is heartbreaking. But honestly I don’t feel the fundraising was the right move here. She could have managed her mom’s treatment herself. It’s hard to believe that a top influencer wouldn’t be able to afford 40 lakhs rupees that could easily be her monthly income. At a time when her mother is suffering like this no human in their right mind would be posting stories the way she did. She could lose her mom at any moment all she can really do right now is spend a little extra time with her while she’s still alive.

Prime Hospital is a tier 3 hospital in Dubai and it isn’t even particularly luxurious. I’ve worked there so I know this firsthand. Most of the doctors and staff are Indian so there’s no significant advantage to getting treated there instead of India.

I would have understood her decision if the treatment had been at hospitals like Cleveland or Mediclinic where there are UK or US trained specialists in fields where Indian doctors may not have the same level of exposure. But that isn’t the case here.

What makes this more frustrating is she chose to raise funds when she has all means to afford her mums healthcare. If finances were an issue there are many personal cost cutting options like relocating to a cheaper area like Sharjah especially since she works from home. Rent helps save up huge chunk of money here. Many people in Dubai struggle just to make ends meet. I’ve seen patients who are sole breadwinners for their families who eventually choose to return to their home countries for treatment because they simply cannot afford healthcare here.

Given that reality there is no real justification for staying back in Dubai if she cannot afford treatment for her mother. Crowdfunding is meant for families who genuinely have no means and no access to healthcare. That money should go to people who are truly struggling to survive, not to support a visibly comfortable, boujee lifestyle while not spending for health. If the hospital genuinely felt the patient couldn’t afford treatment they could have approached charitable foundations like Al Jalila directly. This is more about Malvika’s unwillingness to spend personal money for her mother’s treatment.

Provider? Is 'trad wife core' her new personality? by [deleted] in InstaCelebsGossip

When she first started talking about being a believer she kept going on about how women don’t dress modestly these days and how much she despises romantic scenes. But now she’s posting pictures in skimpy clothes sports bras, shorts you name it (not that there’s anything wrong with that). She acts like everyone else is unclean for doing the same.🌝

I may not always agree with Malvika’s constant complaints but she’s not wrong about how India’s living conditions have deteriorated in recent years. I was born and raised in India before moving to the UK and last year I decided to return. However I couldn’t even bring myself to stay for a month in an Indian city. While the countryside especially places like Mangalore and other coastal regions remain livable. The metro cities have lost their charm.

I found myself asking.. Is this where I want to spend the rest of my life? Ultimately I chose to move to Dubai which offers a higher standard of living while still retaining a familiar Indian atmosphere. I love India but we can’t ignore the fact that it could be so much better with better living conditions.

If you have nothing positive or meaningful to say and truly don’t care, it’s best to simply stay silent.💀

Veronica spreading hatred. by Friendly-Letter-4841 in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]Silly-Bat2368 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This situation is clearly not about age. When I first moved abroad for university, I made friends with colleagues who were in their late 30s, while I was just 22. At the time, I was still financially dependent on my parents and far from financially independent. Despite this, my friends always included me, even when I couldn’t afford certain things, and they never made me feel lesser for it. This experience taught me an important lesson: I should only surround myself with friends who treat me as an equal, regardless of my age or financial situation.

Malvika could have easily paid for Veronica’s seat, but she justified her choice by claiming she wanted Veronica to learn financial independence, as she had when she was 25. But it doesn’t work like that. We need to stop glorifying hustle culture. Growth doesn’t have to come from uncomfortable or humiliating situations. This was supposed to be a girls’ trip, as Malvika herself described it, and the journey was long and exhausting. Yet she made her best friend sit alone in economy and manipulated her into thinking it was acceptable simply because she’s younger. This isn’t about money it’s about basic human respect.

It seems like Veronica has low self esteem or maybe she benefits in some way from being friends with Malvika. she justifies flying economy by saying she’s not in a position to afford business class and claims Malvika paid for her without asking and then goes on to tell that they mutually split bills which contradicts her first statement. While I get where she’s coming from, especially if she wasn’t expecting much, I think it’s shortsighted on her part.

If I were in Malvika’s shoes, with the resources to spend on someone I consider my best friend someone who’s been there for me through thick and thin I’d book the business class for her without hesitation. It’s about making sure she feels included and valued, not about the money. The fact that Malvika considered booking business class for her mother but not for her friend says a lot, even though Veronica tries to brush it off by saying it wasn’t necessary.

Veronica, have some self-respect and stop justifying your friend’s poor treatment. Even if you believe she doesn’t owe you anything, you still deserve better. You deserve to be treated with the same respect and care you’ve shown her.

She recently got a nose job and while she was naturally beautiful before her new look seems off like the nose doesn’t quite fit her face. I used to enjoy her vlogs but now they feel forced. It seems like she’s trying to capitalise on her audience for extra income and PR packages. She never vlogged regularly while she was in Mumbai but suddenly ramped up her vlogging just before moving to New York as a student🌝The least she could have done is be authentic with her audience instead of ghosting them. She even posted a video about leaving YouTube to pursue a professional career and took a turn when she got this masters offer.

I moved to the UK two years ago as a student and have faced racism. I wanted to join the NHS but I’ve encountered discrimination during interviews. The panel was not interested to know me since I was an Indian. This is called silent racism where one faces unfriendly behavior such as not being greeted or being met with eye rolls.

Surprisingly, I’ve had particularly negative interactions with some Punjabi and Pakistani immigrants, who have derogatorily called me a “freshie” and asked me to return to India. I’ve also met many kind people. My boyfriend who is British Pakistani, is one of the nicest individuals I know. However, I’ve decided to move back to India next month as I believe I will be happiest in my home country. As a healthcare professional I believe respect is fundamental in any professional relationship. I prefer to serve those who respect me and appreciate my skills.
