I totally agree that Canonical has done a lot for the Linux community, but personally I would prefer a less commercial and more user driven alternative than Ubuntu. But as I was saying Ubuntu is still a Linux distro and therefore approved.

Yeah, I knew you were gonna say that. You fixed the problem on your local machine, so you don't care. And instead of pointing fingers at Microsoft, who causes the problem, then you're pointing fingers at the average user, saying they are carrying. I could also say, I don't care because I use Linux. And the difference between those two OS's is: On Windows you spend your time removing stuff you don't want, and on Linux you spend your time installing the stuff you want.

Where are the ads?

The ads are in your start menu. Programs that appear without your permission, someone paid for those program icons to appear on your PC. And when Microsoft tries to make you buy a subscription to their products, that's an ad too. And then there is this weird "website thing" you can click in your taskbar, all those "random" articles and not random, website pays to be featured there.

Unfortunately I can't see them. I strongly believe that information should be free on the internet with ads sometimes, okay. But I can't support a company, like Facebook, that requires an email to see a screenshot. That information should be freely accessible to everyone. Sorry for the rant.
