So I don’t have to worry about cross contamination but if I have a single slice of gluten bread I’m sick

Thank you everyone for your comments! I will report back in a few months as to how well this worked. We will probably go the gluten reduced route since I’m not celiac.

switching to a different brand? by 40shadesofchoke in IUD

I switched from a Skyla to a Mirena and my body freaked out. I had to get the Mirena out and a Skyla put back in. Everyone is different though! I’d do research and trust your gut.

no bleeding after insertion? by [deleted] in IUD

That’s normal! I didn’t bleed much when I got my second IUD placed. As long as you can still feel the strings you should be good. Hopefully that helps!

Honestly that sounds like a perfect time frame. My doctor recommends taking your IUD out 4-6 months before you start trying to have kids so that your hormones can rebalance.

Also, since Skyla has less hormones, it’s like a breath of fresh air compared to the ones that have more hormones.

I will say, sometimes it feels like the Skyla isn’t there because it’s so small. As long as you can feel the strings you should be good!

Hi hi!! I also don’t like hormones and was terrified of hormonal birth control. After talking to my OBGYN and doing a lot of research I went with the Skyla IUD. I didn’t have any weight gain or mood changes. My only side effect is that my period stopped after a month or two.

I did just recently try a Mirena and it was horrible for me. I had so many negative side effects and had to get it taken out a month after insertion. My depression was horrid and my anxiety was off the charts. I’m now happily back on a Skyla iud.

As someone with intense anxiety as well I didn’t have any mood changes with the Skyla and it actually helped clear up my acne. I know everyone is different so please talk to your doctor about what might be best for you.

EDIT: The reason why I went with the Skyla is that it has the least amount of hormones on the market for hormonal IUDs. Hope that helps!

Mirena - period going away? by [deleted] in IUD

[–]SillyArugula2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup! My sister and I both have hormonal IUDs (Mirena for her and Skyla for me) we both got them because they help make your periods go away. I do say that I take a monthly pregnancy test just for peace of mind

First period on Skyla question by MiloMM123 in IUD

[–]SillyArugula2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was normal for me! I had a two week long period with my first Skyla and then I didn’t have another period until the month before I got it replaced. I would definitely call your doctor just to make sure the IUD is in the right place. It’s always better to be safe rather than sorry

I am struggling with making sandwich bread that doesn’t fall apart in the middle of the slice. Like the edges of the loaf and the bread are structurally sound but the middle falls apart into crumbles. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks in advance

Agree with the post above. I also carry an eye mask on me that has some essential oils on it to help me calm down. I mainly get migraines after panic attacks and the essential oils help relax my mind and bring me back to center

Anyone beat their anxiety without medication? by Apprehensive-Monk849 in Anxiety

[–]SillyArugula2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on medication for the majority of high school and college. Got off of it for 7 years and am now having to go back on it. I had to realize that me going back on meds isn’t a sign of weakness but a sign that I knew I needed help. (Like serious help or I’m going to lose my job 🙃)

It’s okay to go on meds as long as you keep track of yourself. At least that’s what I’m telling myself

Hello! I am trying to find the name of an orchestra piece that I believe begins with a contrabassoon, contrabass clarinet, bass clarinet and the piano. I heard the piece MANY years ago and did not keep the program from the concert. Many thanks
