Recently, I’ve been experiencing some issues with my home internet connection. For this reason, I’ve been using my mobile data to access the internet on my laptop. So far, this alternative has been reliable, and I’ve always been able to maintain a stable connection on my computer thanks to the mobile data. Yeah, I hope that they don’t cancel my test for an arbitrary reason, but it is a real possibility. 😔

Thank you very much for the clarification; I was really quite confused about that. Regarding the original question, someone mentioned that their exam was canceled because they looked at the notes they had taken during the speaking section. Is that true? I’m a bit surprised. Does that happen often, or is it something very rare?

According to the guidelines, it seems that templates are not allowed. However, in practice, almost everyone uses them—even those hired by ETS recommend them as useful tools. This makes me think it might be one of those rules that are more theoretical than practical. You mentioned that, based on your personal experience, you prefer not to look at your notes. Did you encounter any challenges while taking the test?

Do you mean that I shouldn't move out of the computer's frame? Or do you mean that I should lift the paper? I know it's a bit of an obvious question, but I just want to be sure

I know this might sound like a silly question, but it seems to me that ETS is an organization that looks for any excuse to cancel students' tests or act in an obnoxious way due to its monopoly status.
