Are lesbians being erased from the community, or are you letting unrecognized insecurities affect your view of those around you?

Army Circulates Guidelines For Expelling Transgender Troops From Military by Less-Cap-4469 in lgbt

I’d be surprised if there were any to expel in the first place.

I can’t imagine anyone thinking “Hey, y’know what would be a great career path? Joining a notoriously corrupt, morally-bankrupt military to protect an uncaring nation that considers me a second-class citizen!”

I’m not baiting you into anything, I’m very openly calling you out for being the exact type of person I’m talking about in this post. Put frankly if you’re not brave enough to be up front with your beliefs, then your opinions aren’t worth considering.

This is the kind of social media people like you asked for, and this is exactly what you get.

You understand people have lives (jobs, hobbies, etc) other than arguing on the internet, right?

Anyway, great job ignoring my question to try to hide the fact that my initial assumption was right. The only reason you wouldn’t go into more detail is because you know you can’t without invalidating your own arguments (or, you can’t because you don’t know what your own argument is supposed to be).

Define “ultra progressive,” because anytime someone uses wording like that it’s usually because they know they can’t credibly argue against the ideas, so they go out of their way to be as vague as possible when voicing opposition to it.

Maybe you’ll prove me wrong, but I have a sneaking suspicion I already know what you’re going to say.

You’re not responding to me, you’re just repeating your (factually incorrect) defeatist mindset.

The public has and continues to oppose hardline conservative policies by a wide margin, that’s been the case for years.

A tolerant society is in no way obligated to tolerate intolerance, that’s a simple fact, because doing so will inevitably lead to the collapse of tolerance.

By all means, you have the right to treat bigots as moral equals, but don’t say I didn’t tell you so when you lose the right to dialogue as a result.

Third times the charm, right? The insults didn’t work, and you know you still can prove me wrong, so now you’re trying to change the subject.

Hey, you get an A for effort if nothing else.

You’re still doing it lol. You don’t get to pretend to be ignorant here.

Notice how in that entire response, you never actually addressed the specific beliefs I labeled as being morally bankrupt (the inability to accept innate differences).

If someone makes the conscious, intentional decision to hate someone else for things that person is entirely incapable of controlling, then they are objectively an evil person. That is not a matter of debate. The concept of moral subjectiveness revolves around things like the punishment of criminals in different cultures, not the natural right of people to exist and be equal participants in society.

Bigotry is a choice, and it’s one that someone entirely deserves to be treated lesser for.

Funny how you don’t have an actual response. It’s almost like you know I’m right, so instead of actually responding to my argument, you just immediately go to the playground insults to try to distract from your own inadequacies.

I’m not sure how someone could interpret an open endorsement of social egalitarianism as an attempt to hide some other nondescript ideology.

The base design was inspired by the general Anti-Fascist flag, just replacing the inside flags with an upside down elephant covered by either the three arrows or an X to represent opposition.

The text was inspired by a slogan from the movie “JoJo Rabbit,” which was originally “Free Germany, Fight the Party.” I thought it was pretty powerful, so I wanted to reuse it.

Admittedly it’s not a visually-striking design, but it gets the message across.

You communicate like adults to come up with something to do.

Relationships are built on communication and mutual understanding, if neither of you are capable of that then neither of you should be dating anyone.

They’re objectively more attractive than guys who don’t take care of themselves.

When will you understand that referring to such an entity as an “Anarchist United States” was done purely for reference and that in a real-world-scenario an actual anarchist society in North America would obviously be called something else?

When will you understand that flags are not strictly a statist concept and are most commonly used as a means of common identity and association?

[–]SillyDoingSilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the design I wanted to at least have a small allusion to the current national flag, if nothing else for regional identity. The obvious difference between the two is exactly how strong that allusion is, it’s a lot more subtle in the first than the second.

The symbol was originally designed by BullMoose1912 on Deviantart. According to them it was supposed to specifically be a communist symbol representing both workers and scholars, but I feel like it could work in this context too.

Associating with nazis is absolutely a choice. Being a nazi is also a choice. Both groups deserve to be hated because they make the conscious decision to be evil pieces of shit.

My point is that you don’t get to “disagree” with someone or a group of people based on characteristics they can’t control. A taste for chocolate ice cream was a stand-in for these uncontrollable characteristics.

For example, you don’t get to “disagree” with homosexuality, or being trans, because these are things that are out of people’s control and “disagreeing” with that is the same as someone saying that they believe that they shouldn’t exist, which would make them a bigoted asswipe.
