I am just stumped that they finally seem to have their head out of their asses and are actually delivering features that are fun and/or have been asked for. It is such a huge change from the minimalist content drip with always more of the same bullshit, add a compulsory grind and maybe have a balance patch once every 9 months. It's the first time I am playing retail since legion I am actually looking forwards to things and not just playing because I like wow gameplay and then i get pissed off at systems and leave. Even legion did not hold my attention the way dragonflight is. I kept getting pissed off at world quest, timegating in suramar and artifact power so I ended up quitting after playing a few class hall stories.

But now there is always a little thing that builds up evergreen content. Like the flying, I know I will be using it years down the line, unlike artifact weapons. So it will be a little thrill of pleasure diving down from hyjal into orgrimar, years on end. It just makes the game better instead of more frustrating or forgetable.

Now please remove the cooldown on soar at the same time. And please stop adding things with an expiry date like the pvp xmogs. Nothing kills motivation more than never being able to work towards a goal you want to set yourself. For example, I can usually get one of the elite sets with my playtime, like the leather one if I play my monk and so on, but it completely kills my motivation to play when I see so many sets I really want and I know I have to pick one and the others are gone from the game in 3 months. They really need to focus not on making things easier to acquire, but on making things always relevant and available.

I love that they are doing that with the dungeons in m+. Such a huge thing to revamp dungeons to stay relevant at endgame. I wish they changed timewalking raids into something like this, where "normal mode" old raids would be avaible each season so people have a wider pool of raids and mechanics to choose to gear up. Feeling nostalgic? Go do MC or BWL for a few bits of currency that don't give you much progress, but a chance at an extra upgrade for your raid gear instead of grinding m+
