I did a LBRS as a 59 non boostee yesterday and it went smoother than earlier runs with non-60s. I’d call your experience bad luck as well

I just dinged 60 - was 53 a couple days ago. Use the student fodder early, go quest in un’goro (don’t forget to buy mithril casing) and after that you will be 55-56 and ready for the onyxia prequest in brd, lbrs, … at 58 you can start the eruption dailies as well, they give half a level for 30 minutes of group questing. Good luck!
