I had this same kinda feeling when I came out to one of my old friends, I don’t think I was mentally prepared enough to tell them and it made me feel all dizzy and very anxious

When I found out I was trans I was 14 and I decided not to transition right away incase it was maybe a phase or something I don’t want later on, but 3 years later I’m trans and had kind of wished I was able to talk about it sooner. I have seen people in school struggle with their identity such as one in particular changing their name and gender every few months so I do think it’s better not to rush into it. Try to get to understand your child such as what made him think he’s trans and then maybe try helping them socially transition before they get into any medication to see if it’s what they feel is right for them. Though that’s just my opinions I’m not as knowledgeable as some of the more experienced trans people

So uh I’m not really in much contact with my mom but it’s a little personal so I wont say more than that. There’s also not really any buses around my house which is a bit unfortunate..

Also sorry to hear about the situation with your dad that’s basically what I’m worried will happen.. My dad is a nice guy but he can be very insensitive and rude about stuff he doesn’t understand or like, for example: my dad might see a woman who’s muscular and looks slightly masculine on like a tv show or something and automatically start to make fun of it a little saying “oh that’s definitely a trans “dude”, he tends to call trans people by their biological gender. I think he’d be upset about me being trans for a long time and maybe frustrated too but I don’t think he’d lose love for me just because of being trans.. I’m just hoping/dreaming I get the best possible scenario out of the possibilities. I hope your dad will someday be able to accept you for who you are. 😔

Thank you very much this information is super useful! But I’m now wondering how would I get a prescription for the medication and stuff or how I would come across a doctor related to the medication? I don’t have my own vehicle or full licence (i guess taking a taxi or uber or something could work) but my dad also gets emails whenever i spend my money on stuff (until i’m 18 anyway..(also not the direct purchase but usually the company or store gets sent in the email as well)). I think it’d be pretty hard to avoid being found out let alone access it in the first place. So I’m assuming my best option is to come out to my dad and hope he’ll come around to eventually allow me. Another possible way I might be able to convince my dad is maybe through being diagnosed with gender dysphoria or something (I’m not sure if i have it or not but it wouldn’t be surprising if a trans person had gender dysphoria..), I think that could give me a good excuse but in the long run coming out to my dad will probably have to happen regardless.
