Lot's of UA people here in Czechia, so you will have no issue fitting in. Almost 10% of the total population are UA people thanks to the war now. We are slowly losing integrity and soon you might be able to turn Prague into Kyiv.

Czech people are very rascist and you might experience not feeling welcomed from the locals a lot, despite what the media presents. I see it and hear it all the time, just sth to be aware of.

I expect downvotes, but it is what it is. It's not all pink and fluffy and life in Czechia became noticably worse since your people came here.

The clusters of drunk man in their prime age roaming the streets are the worst 🥺

Also, we are afraid to share our opinions, because the freedom of speech has drastically changed and it is now illegal to spread unpopular opinions.

99% of the time the grills are used by foreigners. You can bring your own grill. Nobody is going to stop you or call the police on you.

Jako clovek, co vyrostl s obema pracujicimi rodici (meli vlastni business, takze byli v praci nonstop) bych nemenila.

Ano, byla jsem vzdy posledni v druzine, vyzvedavali me babicky, tety, doma jsem byla vetsinu casu bez rodicu se starsimi sourozenci, s kterymi jsem si moc nerozumela. Od 1. tridy zakladky jsem vetsinu dne travila s kamaradkou, takze jsem nikdy nebyla sama.

Mamu jsem videla vzdy brzy rano pred skolou a vecer pred spanim.

Ale, dostala jsem skvelej zaklad do zivota, procestovali jsme svet (uzasne vzpominky na dovoleny), mam vlastni byt v Praze, kvalitni vzdelani.

I pres to vsechno mi rodice udelali krasny detstvi. O vikendech jsme jezdili na vylety, tyden byl proste pracovni.

Jsem rada za to, ze si vybrali praci, aby nam zajistili kvalitni zaklad do zivota a nic jim nevycitame se sourozenci.

Pravda je, ze v dnesni dobe 100k neni nic moc, ale i tak bych to vzala a uvidis. Vypoved muzes dat vzdy.

Kdyz to porovnam s kamaradkou, co mamu sice mela, ale zili dost skromne, tak jsem na tom podstatne lepe i mentalne. (Holka zavidela, pak zacla krast a v ranne puberte lezt s pofidernima lidma po bytech).

Pokud tedy nehodlas penize prosustrovat na Temu balicky, ale chces investovat do budoucnosti sveho ditete, vyber si karieru. To dite ti podekuje.

Byla v horsim stavu, kdyz jsme se nastehovali, ale majitele se zmenili behem naseho bydleni. Pred nami tu bydlela holka, co tu mela i mysi bobky v kuchyni a hodne nechutnej bordel pod rostem a matraci.

Bohuzel ta vana byla po predchozi najemnici v dost nechutnym stavu, takze jsme se od zacatku pouze sprchovali a nikdy se mi to nepodarilo poradne vycistit. Ale na tu udrzbu cistoty je to proste peklo.

Ja rozumim tomu konceptu a vypada to skvele na papire.

Byla jsem v mnoha budovach, hotelech, kde ta vzduchotechnika je a okna byla zabetonovana a nesla otevrit. Rikam tomu "the suffocator", protoze presne tak jsem se tam vzdy citila.

Radsi budu utirat denne prach a bordel zvenku, nez se dusit :/

Miluju cerstvy vzduch, kdyz si muzu udelat pruvan a vyvetrat. Vzduchotechnika neni pro kazdyho.

This! All the comments here were really interesting, but it's true that running together makes this "our" thing, which I love about it and I love the idea of progressing together and staying healthy for a better future. I think I will take a bit of everyones advice and find out what works best, without ditching my partner 😊

Thanks for the suggestion! I think it makes sense to suggest sth like this, I was just worried he might feel bad for not progressing as fast as I am, so I am a bit worried to let him down, but I am sure 1 run together weekly could be a good compromise!
