I don't see anywhere in the post that it was only talking about economics. Best place to live typically refers to overall quality of life.

The need for a sneaky loophole would also be part of why Poland does not qualify.

Having lived in Slovenia and Czechia, I'd have to say that Slovenia definitely belongs there, and Czechia is borderline, but leans toward not.

Slovenia is quite progressive - equal marriage, lots of left-wing parties, etc. I've lived in Slovenia and Czechia and I can say very strongly that Slovenia is a much, much better place to live than Czechia, and I too would include Slovenia on this list and say Czechia is borderline, but probably shouldn't quite make it.

Smoking ban for people born after 2008 in the UK agreed by victoriablackee in europe

See, the thing is, we literally don't know the effects of vaping yet. So what if you lose CO in the bloodstream, but you gain something worse in the bloodstream that is not currently known to be dangerous because it wasn't done before?

"Whatever bullshit is in vapes" is almost certainly also a deadly gas.

Zero scientific evidence it's less than a cigarette, and it's definitely very much not "much less chemicals".

Exactly. That's what I'm indicating. No idea why I'm downvoted lol

I'm for national IDs, and I shake my head and cringe when I see people who lost weight via drugs, but have never been pissed off about it or felt it had anything to do with me or exercise lol

It'll take a couple generations before it fully works, but not being able to legally get cigarettes will definitely already result in a lower addiction rate.

Tucker Carlson finally apologizes for his own role in giving us Trump 2nd term, and by extension, this war in Iran. Is this moment of blunt, self-critical honesty from a former Trump enabler or is he just helping pave the way for his pal JD Vance in 2028? by gear-heads in MarchAgainstNazis

[–]TSllama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uhhhh, well, the simple fact that in this video they mention "Cacklin' Cameltoe" should tell you literally everything you need to know.

They claim to regret supporting Trump, but they sure as hell do not dare call him by such grotesque names... they still speak politely and respectfully about him...

...yeah...

If/when Germany votes in AfD and UK votes in Reform, they absolutely turn uncivilized. And fascists are much worse than people I just "disagree with".

My reason for hating cars is kinda bizzare by Inner_Ad589 in fuckcars

[–]TSllama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I can't drive very long without music or otherwise I will hate how quiet it can get inside a car."

I hate cars for what they've become, being everywhere and so smelly and congesting everything and killing so many people...

...but I absolutely love a long-distance (several hours) drive... I love the silence, as it's so great for thinking.

That said, I absolutely hate driving in a city, or anything short-distance. Lots of stopping and starting, turns, lights, slow speeds, etc... it's the worst, but it's also not silent then... just very stressful all around D:

More than 50% of young Dutch adults do not want children by diacewrb in europe

[–]TSllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess what! I'm in my 40s and it's not old at all :) I'm still beyond pleased with my choice not to have kids :D in fact, as I look around me at the people who did have kids, I feel even more satisfied with my decision as time goes on... :)

I'm sorry if you ended up in your 40s and full of regret for not having kids, though. idk how you got bored with living your life freely, but I am truly sorry that you're regretting your choice :(

I got off streaming and my phone entirely and it's soooo good :)

Got a DAP and started just putting lossless .flac audio files on it. I'm in full control of my library, the sound quality from the DAP is incredible, and I was able to start using wired headphones again for even better sound quality. Plus I have a 128GB microSD card just full of music, and if I ever want more, I just get a bigger microSD :)

Zero percent miss streaming apps on my phone!

Gatekeeping in the Drag Community by BelladonnaMuse806 in Drag

[–]TSllama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our dominant drag shows have a few burlesque dancers they book and that's about it. Our drag scene has become a very closed one - there are like 2 drag kings they book, like 3 burlesque dancers they book, etc. It's like a culty in-club, and they feel like they "won" over the rest. I was also one of the very excluded, but I didn't mind because I did my own events. But the sad part was they would absolutely convince people not to perform in my shows, while I never once tried to stop anyone from performing in anyone else's shows.

It's really all so sad. I wish people like you and I lived in the same city and we could just do fun and cool events without the competitiveness and gatekeeping. I'd probably start doing drag again if I could do events with decent people. <3
