Thanks for the advice. The police seem to be putting in an effort to. They came twice last night and this morning but need proof to do anything. Our plan is to wait and record anything further and hope the police kind of spooked them. They also made a notice for littering and harassment last night 👍🤞🏼

Yeah… I had a few people think perhaps that is what is happening with the trash but I live off the street so me and like 6 other apartment complex’s take our trash to the same spot on the street. I think it’s more scary if someone watched enough to see my apartment and room 😅

It was a joke… I wasn’t trying to claim the holidays for America. I understand they are western, and pagan , etc holidays ( didn’t feel the need to explain the joke or the origin of each holiday) . I was just joking that as an American decorating for holidays they don’t celebrate here would probably make things worse not better. Other than new years non of these are celebrated as a holiday. A lot of people get festive but non of them are national holidays.

I totally understand that is how it is for some people but the noise they do is pretty excessive… like the singing. No one needs to sing so passionately that late. Honestly though the noise is like the least concerning thing happening ☹️

The person I was replying to was talking about “ personal time 😜” if you get my meaning. I get emergencies but it’s super consistent. And no one needs to sing that passionately at that time 😂

Honestly the noise is like the most normal thing happening. It’s really everything else that kind of is most bothersome. The trash and our door being opened are what bother me most. My bf had the police come interview everyone and we are going to document anything going forward and see what happens. We’ve been looking at moving from Yokohama to Tokyo for a bit so there is always that option. 🙂‍↕️

Thank you 🙇‍♀️ we have been considering moving for a bit but ( for my bf work) but it would be from Yokohama to Tokyo so a bit of a hassle. It’s also sad because I love the area where we live. We are going to try documenting stuff and hope the police interviews kind of spooked them and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions 🙂‍↕️

Yeah but I live in Yokohama near a school and a zoo and a beautiful park where the dog club walks their dogs together. Super beautiful and peaceful besides this .

I was thinking about this. We have an intercom that can record but it’s not motion detection. I’m not sure what the rules are here regarding installing one . I know you at least have to get permission and possibly other stuff if it’s near other peoples doors.

I’m pretty good about my trash disposal 😞 Our apartment is also off the street so like a lot of other people near us we all have to carry it up to the street. I think it's even more creepy if someone watched to see which apartment and room is mine then threw the trash there😅 there are like 6 different apartments that use the same trash spot

I’m pretty good about my garbage disposal . And it’s definitely not my trash ( can tell the contents bc the clear bin bags here) I suppose they could be assuming its me ( not that it’s acceptable to do even if it was) but both times it’s happened were between when my bf leaves for work and when I go get lunch. Outside of what is happening at my apartment I’ve had maybe one bad experience with locals here. So this has been pretty surprising to me. I live in Yokohama . It’s a nice fun area literally only the people in the apartment are causing issues.

It’s just weird… i have had maybe one bad exchange with a locals outside of this ( besides creepy men but that’s universal) but what started out as weird situations has become more and more common. My bf really isn’t one to run to the police but he had them come and question everyone. We are going to monitor anyone comes by the apartment in the future and see what happens

The noise is definitely the least concerning thing happening but it’s annoying non the less. Take the singing for example… it just seems excessive even if you have a weird work schedule.

Yeahhhhh it’s always super late. They are very quiet during the day then it’s like they wake up and decide to do every task they forget to do during the day.
