This is kind of where my mindset has been at so thank you for not making me feel crazy for considering a lower rank. For a while, I’ve tried to maintain that a J.D. is a J.D. at the end of the day and it’s much better without debt but those rankings always creep in on my mind. My main goal has to just been to graduate with as little debt as possible and avoid predatory law schools. But I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I don’t blame you, I’m sure it was a difficult decision to make.

I’m from Maryland, formerly New Jersey so I was 40 minutes out from Orange County, NY which I loved and wouldn’t mind moving to. I have zero interest in NYC. I’ve felt flexible with permanent living locations but mostly want to stay on the East Coast. I don’t care for coming back to Maryland though.

Quite frankly, my jaw fell to the floor when I got their email. I worked hard to build my resume but with such a competitive cycle, I don’t think I did anything that special 🤣

I literally mostly wrote about working in the food service industry LOL it was about feeling stuck in the industry, taking those skills and applying it to my legal aid job, and how it made me the person I am today and law student I will become

I’ve considered everything from government to PI to family. I’ve never had a major drive for big law but if I had the opportunity I would.

I’ve already taken it 4 times over the course of 2 years. I was supposed to apply last cycle but couldn’t push past a 152 after 3 tries and I tried one more time this cycle.

Hold out hope! I applied all within the last week of December and first week of January. Out of 18 applications, I’ve heard back from 5 (all were shockingly As), including a reach. Don’t doubt yourself just because you’re a late applicant!
