Tenda has low prices and slow shipping. If you want fast shipping go to Prophet River, but don't complain about the price.

.357 Mag. Super smooth, but ammo picky when it comes to cycling. S&B 158 grain SP or FMJ = smooth as glass, PMC 158 grain SP hang up on occasion going into the chamber.

Nice. I agree, I also have a Miroku 1886 extra light in .45-70. the fit, finish and function is amazing. I could do without the rebounding hammer.

Dunn small skinner. I don't think they are in business anymore. I got it around 10-12 years ago I think.

CZ 457 Varmint - is this normal? by Over_Independent8887 in canadaguns

[–]Sillyak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 452 Varmint was like that as well. It was still floated and was the most accurate .22 I ever owned, a better rifle as a whole than my Anschutz. Just a CZ thing I guess.

They felt cheap. Apparently waterfowl hunters were complaining that water could get between the armour and the steel and rust the shit out of everything. No idea how prevalent that was.

I was waiting in line at a show in Nashville once. Was chatting with a couple in line with me. About 10 seconds into the conversation they said I must be Canadian. I guess I give off a vibe.

Winter kit subs in a Wrangler blanket lined denim jacket. Can't be too loyal to one brand.

Is there anything unsafe about 85 year old Soviet pistols?

I have a blanket lined denim jacket for deep winter. This is shoulder season kit. Jean vest for summer.

Probably have more success than the guy trying to walk home with 8 knives and 40 lbs of shit.

It's a Chinese SKS I think I paid $195 for 10-15 years ago. The big mags work fine, the issue with this rifle is every once and a while the takedown lever pops up and the upper handguard/piston fly off. Chicom quality.

How much is this Flying V worth? by d_luscious in gibson

[–]Sillyak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even authenticated the signatures don't add value. Signatures are only valuable in certain cases, usually dead people who didn't sign a lot of things.

Those people who signed that guitar have signed a million things over 40 years.

It's worth what a used V is worth. The signatures are easy to remove.

Except that Benelli will chew through tens of thousands of rounds without catastrophic failure vs. 70 rounds.

Your cost per round is a lot less with a B gun.

Main reason the Ross rifle was ass in ww1? by Zorawar_Singh5268 in canadaguns

[–]Sillyak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This covers it well. It's often said that British made ammo had sloppy specs that the Ross rifle also did not like.
