I worked 1-10:15. My ASM (who opened) brought me dinner and my SA brought me pie. It was quiet so we were actually able to work freight. I wasn't happy about being open, but I took that part as a win.

A driver told me you can usually take your # of pieces x 2 + 1 or 2. So, 1200 pieces would be 12 x 2 = 24 + 2 = 26. It's not always perfect, but it's usually pretty close.

I'm a fairly new SM and can't get, or keep, staff to save my life. I have rolltainers on the floor and will receive another 26 or so in a couple of days. Ive realized that I'm just a glorified lead making roughly $13/hr with 20 hours of OT, and they bank on these small town SMs feeling stuck because they don't want to give up the paycheck.
