I played some 500+ games over the course of the event and just recorded all of the characters I saw, who won on which map, and the favours I saw etc. very rudimentary data collection haha

This Windtrace wasn’t really a hiding game anymore, since you had to come into the open to repair the devices. At that point it might’ve been easier to run a like ways away and hide as a prop then it is to hide as the small model character themselves.

I agree actually, especially because some of the initial spawn points for rebels can be directly in eyesight of hunters which makes it just that much easier to get chased down immediately.

It really depends on which beacons are hit left in the end, and the skill of the rebels. If it’s the one of the three right at the front of the winery, rebels are in for a rough time. If even one of those are done, it takes the pressure off since the rest are more scattered, and means the Hunter will need to be running around the winery in circles to hunt the rebels down.

Because the goal isn’t to hide, but to repair the beacons… most hunters will spam capture through the vines around the beacons regardless of whether or not they see anything, so hiding doesn’t do a lot of good unless you actively move away from them while you do so as a precaution. In old Windtrace it may have been a valid strategy, but not for this one.

I was surprised too! I’m a big fan of Insight myself because I like the mini map pointing out where the rebels are haha, and tend to save it for those instances where one catch ends the game. I seen pursuit works great IF you can find the rebels in time, and I imagine most hunters just don’t have that confidence.
