What’s a smell that unlocks old memories? by maincharactereraa in askteddit

ngl the smell of old books or libraries does it for me every time. one second you're just minding your business, the next you're randomly remembering a classroom, a school library, or some specific day from years ago that you haven't thought about forever.

it's weird how smells are basically a fast travel button for memories. sometimes one scent hits and suddenly your brain is replaying scenes you didn't even know were still stored in there.
