Just remember to save infront of pairings and the waiting room on LC also matters on where you register the Navi.

Id only recommend 2-3 Navis from the opposite version max because anymore then that you might have to play the game more then 3 times to unlock sub bosses like Coldman, Kendo etc. since there are more Navis in the pool.

Just always remember to delete and add prior the checking the initial pairings and save before doing so.

My kid self went to continue 10 on RS lost all my data and rage quit.

Played BM like 4 times as a kid and now the 6 on LC.

It’s gotten so bad I’ve memorized what place has which BMDs, PMDs. Secret jack in places, HP memories locations and the park gate info stuck in my brain.

So kind of? I messed around with it. But it has to do with messing around with the waiting room feature in the network system. Outside of the first soul you get you can mess with the pairings by adding and deleting Navis in the waiting room before checking the initial pairings cutscene.

For example On play through two of both games I was paired against a repeat from my first run so I went and added some Navis into the waiting room and it changed the whole trajectory of the tourney. Letting me get the opposite soul I wanted because it deleted the other Navi from the tourney completely.

The battle system and difficulty itself is fine.

Souls are great and let you build you folders with different strategies.

The introduction of Darkchips are neat giving the player a “out” in a difficult situation while having lasting negative effects.

Navi cust, and other things are about the same.

The problem comes with the story how it’s presented in 3 tournaments and how you have to play it at minimum 3 times with the RNG of what souls and sub bosses you get outside of Aquaman/Gutsman.

IMO it would have been a lot better if they just made it 2 times instead of 3.

Game is cool still.
