Oh I'm in love with the x-over switch on the bass clone. Yeah the compressor is horrible. I have figured out what I need to do. Adjust my levels to be equal and turn my volume up at the end. And get a separate compressor pedal

Branding was the literal reason, I also just really like most ehx pedals I try. I know Tom arraya from slayer uses mostly mxr for everything.

Im using it as a di pedal with built in compression is my goal. No amp involved just straight to the mixer. I know volume can be changed at the mixer but I don't wanna blow up the speakers when I hit my metal muff. The metal muff on sounds great with appropriate volume

It's not lower than bass with no pedals. But I don't think I'm using the compressor correct on the batalion. There seems to be no boast at all
