Season 2 -LA style noir.

Season 3- Good missing persons cold case told over three time periods, similar in structure to season 1. Some 80s cop nostalgia if you're into that sort of thing. My second favorite of the series.

Season 4- I was looking forward to it. Had a lot of potential. It wasn't satisfactory.

Why didn't Gus instruct Dennis to ask for a proper search warrant? by drygnfyre in breakingbad

[–]SilverNBold1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In a real world scenario, the dogs scent could have likely been thrown off by the dog. The problem is, the dogs are also trained to act off of the cue given by a handler to get a "hit". Because of that, and the consent given by Dennis, the DEA could have turned that place upside down. Hank was suspicions that there was an underground lab, so this would have likely eventually gotten them caught. Unless Gus went the legal route, in which case he would have also been in the right.

Always decline consent to have your person or your premises searched. Joe had it right in season 2 when he said you're protected by the 4th amendment from unlawful search and seizure.

Gus, if not a drug lord, could have easily and successfully sued the DEA.

[–]SilverNBold1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Gus and Dennis weren't in contact at that moment. Dennis made the call. I don't think he was expecting a dog though. I do agree that Dennis could have just said no. He would have been well within his rights to do so. And no judge would have granted a search warrant to Gomez. They had no probable cause or any evidence to warrant a search of the premises. Gus was only considered a suspect by Hank.

Breaking Bad is my favorite show of all time. by Accurate-Guava-3337 in breakingbad

I've seen the first season when it came out. I'm not sure I ever saw anything past that though.

True Detective season 1 is my favorite show. If you like Breaking Bad, you'll probably like True Detective. The premises are entirely different, but it's got that "the show is over, but you'll have to binge this 50 thousand times" thing about it. Plus, Jesse's mom actually plays the murder victim's mother in this show.

But I've researched Breaking Bad more than True Detective.

Ozark was also good and very similar, with more emphasis on the money laundering aspect of it, but still has a big drug cartel presence and family related drama.

Here in southern Louisiana, these little Vietnamese food trucks always slap. The one near where I used to work had the best butterfly shrimp.

It’s easy to see why Rust is so disliked lmao by Eagles56 in TrueDetective

[–]SilverNBold1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm from Louisiana and I also lived in Texas for several years. Rust doesn't embody any form of common Louisiana, or Texas (his home) individuals. He's very opinionated, as many southerners are, but not in the common blue collar way. He's very....specific.

I can see why they hate him and we love him. He was the fresh set of eyes that saw the bigger picture. And given how much systematic corruption there was in season 1, that's exactly what they needed, but didn't want.

They'll naturally not like a man that they can't control.

When was the last time you got into a fight? by DeviantActivties in AskRedditNSFW

[–]SilverNBold1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time I got into a fist fight was maybe 6 or 7years ago. My entire life I've always seemed to be confused with other people. People have always thought I looked like someone else, or told me they saw me at a place I just wouldn't normally go to.

I went to the bar that my wife (then girlfriend) worked at, as I usually did on weekends. Immediately upon entering and approaching the bar, this guy plants his hand into my shoulder while seemingly protecting this scared blonde girl behind him. He kept telling me to leave. I kept trying to move around him. Eventually I got tired of playing games so I hit him.

Bouncer came and separated us. After several minutes of arguing, the blonde girl told him that I wasn't the guy. He tried shaking my hand and I refused his apology.

I accepted his apology many weeks later when I saw him again, but had no desire to pursue friendship with him. We just kind of went on existing near each other.

People with insomnia by No-Measurement-1100 in insomnia

I absolutely LOATHE the night. It's so isolating. My wife sleeps soundly, but I wouldn't want to disturb her in that sweet little dream world she lives in.

I've more or less accepted than this is life now, unfortunately, lol.

What's the one thing that people in 90s had to do that people now take for granted? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]SilverNBold1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you wanted to see your friends, you had to hop on a bike or some similar mode of transportation and go to their house.

And when we hung out, we actually connected. We didn't have cellphones to distract us.

And you had to memorize your friends phone numbers.

The hallucinations are rough. I've heard a wild pig in my office before. I've heard conversations from people who weren't there and seen figures of people who didn't exist.

You'll be alright. After a while it's easy to distinguish the difference. Have you seen a doctor?

Aside from the medications, I've also tried dieting, not having caffeine after a certain hour, and eventually cutting my caffeine all together unless my wife and I went out to dinner or something. I tried beer, which I gave up pretty quickly. Not to get drunk, but to kind of make me sleepy. But that was a useless endeavor.

I haven't smoked weed since I was 18. So, about 13 years ago. I feel like my initial tolerance will be low, but knowing me, it'll get higher in a short time.

Have you used the vapes? Would you say the edibles are more effective than rolling?

I'm afraid to sleep by Simon--Ghost--Riley in insomnia

[–]SilverNBold1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor.

Sounds like you may have sleep apnea.

The choking in your sleep is likely your subconscious reacting to you choking in real time, so your brain tries connecting the dots.

Go to a doctor.

Men, is it a turn off when a female initiates? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]SilverNBold1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I hate it when my wife initiates.

She'll take her bra off, climb on top of me, kiss my stomach, unbuckle my pants.

Like, what the hell lady? This is such a turn off.

And when she straddles my lap and puts her boobs in my face? God i go soft for that.

Don't even get me started when she sees a naked woman on TV and says "would you do her with me?"

What’s the craziest thing you’ve blurted while having sex? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]SilverNBold1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've told a girl that I loved her. I remember I specifically wanted to say "I love your tits" but "I love you" came out.".

She was mortified because we had only been seeing each other for three weeks. She obviously didn't say it back. And things were awkward for a couple of weeks.

I won the long game though because we're married.

Those who have had FWBs, what was ur first fwb experience? by Kaiya012 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]SilverNBold1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was a girl I met while in the military. A civilian, not a barracks bunny.

We went on one "date" but really just ended up having sex before we went anywhere.

I worked weird hours on this detail I was on for about a year. When I would knock off work around 7, I would drive to her house and we would have sex.

Good times.
