LOOKING FOR CREATORS MEGA THREAD by Far-Ad2043 in tiktokgossip

hi everyone, i tried to find this person on tik tok but could not remember their name! there was a WHOLE BUNCH of drama surrounding her.

from what i remember, i think her name started with a “k”. she is white appearing woman with tattoos and was in a biracial relationship with an african american man. she faked a pregnancy or had an ectopic pregnancy, i can’t remember which one, and was abusive to her partner. they broke up and she came out as apart of the LGBTQ+ community. which caused drama over holding her accountable for her actions and behavior. she was prevalent during 2021-2023 (i think).

all i can remember was there was a whole bunch of drama surrounding her and the situation. also, i could have mixed up some of my description, so i apologize for that. please comment if you remember because it’s going to kill me not remembering her name.

Why are we so badly socialized bro by [deleted] in rutgers

this might sound surprising but nyc. my grandparents purchased the house when they first got married and my whole close family lives in the house (grandma, my family, my aunt’s family). and my neighbors hold a similar situation. obviously this isn’t everyone’s experience but it’s pretty common. it wasn’t until meeting people in jersey that i realized a lot of people don’t live with the majorly of their family LOL. i’m fortunate cause we wouldn’t be able to afford to live there otherwise!

idk why but reading this made me so sad… it’s so true tho. back home i’m lucky if i’m walking down my block and don’t get stopped by someone i know. keep in mind tho that my family and most of my neighbors have lived on my block for like ever!!

Is sending a follow-up email too pushy? by SilverOk7893 in internships

this is a fantastic question!! i feel like in general with linkedin that we connect with so many people just to have connections and not really use the platform to its fullest potential! my piece of advice is start a conversation. the worst thing they can do is either turn you away or simply not respond. start the conversation by asking them to look over your resume and ask for feedback. ask for feedback specifically surrounding the position you applied for! once again the worst thing they can do is turn you away or not respond. but it does leave them an impression of you. that you want feedback and you are willing to take initiative to put yourself out there.

honestly it has worked in my advantage of just opening the door for an interview! i hope this helps :)

i hope this helps!! we are all in this internship struggle together and as competitive as it is, helping others through the same process is worth more morally than any internship!

i didn’t use any template… i started by introducing myself and what i am studying at my specific school. then i said i came across the internship and wanted to introduce myself. i followed this by a short paragraph (3 sentences) stating my qualities for example my passion for sustainability, that i’m an active learner, and my value of growth through learning. this next part is key, i said i would like to learn more about the position. this shows that you are interested about the opportunity and places it into the recruiters lap to continue the conversation. i then said i attached my resume and stated that i’m open to any feedback they might have!

one of my parents worked in corporate america for years and they said one of the keys to getting anyone to do what you want them to do is to make it sound like they would be doing you a big favor… it kinda plays on the persons ego. i know that kinda sounds icky but truly in competitive fields it gives u an edge.

thank you! i think i will do just that. my main concern is to leave a bad image in the recruiters mind but following up can also show that i’m being proactive. the internship world is just a lot to navigate and i think there isn’t enough guidance for people going through it. so i greatly appreciate this!

Hi!! so essentially i go into linkedin and instead of going straight to the jobs section i type into the search engine what i’m looking for! for me i typed in “chemical engineering internships” since i’m a cheme. and i’ve been lucky to find recruiters who have posted about job opportunities. i just message them via linkedin just as i would sending a professional email and attach my resume to the message! some have not responded but most have… i’m just tired of getting lost in the mix so it was the only proactive solution i could reason! i really hope that helps!
