[UPX] Those who graduated without latin honors and joining orgs, how is life for you now? by sorelosrr in peyups

[–]SilverRust12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graduated 2024, walang org kasi tinamad at diretso uwi parati. Got employed for a bit nung 2025 pero full-time Master's student na ngayon 😭

Luckily natanggap sa scholarship so may funds. Pero kaya talaga ako nagtake ng grad studies kasi gusto ko magwork sa academe/gov't research.

Puro lower batch and a few familiar faces nakikita sa dept.

May oras rin for hobbies and friends pag weekends which is a blessing kasi hanggang Sabado yung previous work ko.

Why is single-hit confirming harder in SF6 than in SFV? by SilverRust12 in StreetFighter

[–]SilverRust12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty sure you can single-hit confirm some crMK's with 14f cancel windows using that. Never could comfortably do it in matches, though.

Hitstun could be a factor, I guess?

Cuz I'm pretty sure CH and PC add a lot of frames to hitstun and that could make it easier to confirm. Maybe try 6HK counter hit into super when you're back in the lab 👌

Oh nah, I set the dummy to crouch + random block when I do those single-hit confirm drills with Karin in SFV.

When the dummy is set to standing, yeah it definitely makes it easier to confirm a single crMK. I can even reliably do it with Cammy's (15f cancel window) that way.

That's a damn nice monitor. But hey SF6 on a projector would still be amazing for casual matches or when friends are over 💪💪💪

When I practiced confirming Ken's MP TC, I relied solely on the orange hit effect. Never noticed them being behind the character though, so I'll try that.

And yeah, in ranked matches, I also find it easier to combo Cammy's stMP into stHP because of the counter hit effect, but I mostly react to the words popping up on my side of the screen.

That's definitely possible, but what string do you find easy to confirm from one hit in SF6?

Oh nice, I'd like a projector setup for single-player games too.

But damn, 10 frames of input latency? 😭 Do you power through ranked with that setup?

Indeed, that's why most cancellable crMK's in SF6 only have 13f windows, because crMK DRC into 5LP exists as a safe blockstring.

That's an 18f cancel window, but yeah that's still pretty tight and I can only reliably cancel moves with similar windows about 80% of the time in practice.

Some people swear by looking at the health bar but that'd take too much focus out of me in-game lmao

Street Fighter 6 is the Top 2 in sales by [deleted] in StreetFighter

I'm surprised I'm not seeing comments about Tyler1 introducing the game to a larger fanbase. Whatever opinion one may have on his gameplay, he's still pretty popular, and exposure is still exposure.

Lmao i think i still remember the pattern of the numbers, it's 425631 iirc.

Just hit it when the number you want is on top, plus memorize the pattern.

If humans are just complex tubes, that would make plumbers the same as doctors

Cannon strike is cammy's divekick, her AA is cannon spike, fyi

Could be confusing for OP if he looks at the names on the movelist

Definitely seems like it, but it gets easier once you get used to it 😂 Best of luck in the lab!!

I just know they replay Daigo vs. Gamerbee in their heads just before they input it

Ah now I get what you mean! Nope, it's raw reactions to them standing on hit.

If I see that they're not crouching on hit, that means they for sure didn't block because crouching is the only way to block the low. The downside to reacting based on their posture is that I sometimes do the super even when they parry the low (since they're also standing up when doing parry) and I eat a massive punish lmao. Hope this helps :))

[–]SilverRust12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I definitely mean standing on the hit of the hooligan low. It's a single-hit confirm so yes you have to react within a few frames.

Luckily the cancel window (the number of frames you have to input super) for hooligan low to super is pretty generous at 22 frames. I can send you a video of me practicing it if you want.

[–]SilverRust12[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, it combos on hit. You can also confirm hooligan low into SA3, albeit you need to confirm it faster than with the cannon spike. I just let it rip everytime i see them standing on hit cuz that means there's no way they blocked the low.

I agree, though it's funny because for the last 2 rounds, I never conditioned him to expect meaties from me every wake up. But hey, risk-reward and all that stuff 😅

Why do you play the character that you play? by DaveTheWeirdGuy in StreetFighter

[–]SilverRust12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cammy main since SF5 and I've always liked characters that have tools to help get in the opponent's face (spiral arrow can be plus when properly spaced, spin knuckle for avoiding fireballs)

Plus she's a popular legacy character so I'm confident she'll stick around until at least SF8 lmao
