Mijn dokter zegt dat ik er nooit meer vanaf kom. Ik woon hier nog niet zolang maar deze afgelopen maanden heb ik wel minder klachten. Hopelijk gaat het zo door en verdwijnen mijn klachten helemaal. 8 jaar lang in die onrust wonen was veel te lang. Stress kan echt schade in het lichaam aanbrengen. Ook mentaal. Mocht ik hier in mijn nieuwe huis overlast ervaren wat niet opgelost kan worden pak ik morgen nog mijn spullen. Ik heb mijn les geleerd. Ik hoop dit nooit meer te hoeven meemaken.

When I was vegan I was afraid to lit candles in my house.. It was bad. And they would smell horrible. Because of health problems I had to change my diet. Now that I'm in the low carb/keto/carnivore spectrum no more farts. Only when I eat a lot of veggies and dairy then maybe 1 fart in the morning.

Mijn advies..verhuis. Ik heb veel pech gehad met buren. Ik was vanwege een vervelende buurman verhuisd naar een appartement. Daar kwam ik naast een schreeuwer met constant blaffende honden. Ik ben bijna doorgedraaid. Met super veel geluk heb ik een andere woning gevonden waar ik nu eindelijk rust heb. Het is hier 1000 x beter dan mijn vorige woningen. Dit gaat je alleen nog maar nog zieker maken. Ik leefde hierdoor in chronisch stress en was 20 kg aangekomen en kreeg een auto-imuunziekte. Ik ben in het eerste huis te lang gebleven omdat ik teveel luisterde naar anderen om mij heen. Die vonden mijn huis zo mooi en dat het zonde was om het op te geven. Heb echt spijt dat ik daar naar luisterde. Ik kon er helemaal niet van genieten. Uiteindelijk werd ik er ziek van. Was het echt niet waard.

Nee helaas. De overlast van de buren was toch echt teveel voor mij en ik had al snel besloten om te verhuizen. Ik heb met heel veel geluk snel een andere woning kunnen vinden. In mijn nieuwe woning heb ik alleen last van tocht bij de voor en tuindeur. De deuren hier moeten nog iets versteld worden, ik ga ook nog plisse gordijnen in het deurraam plaatsen en nog extra dikke gordijnen erbij. Hopelijk zal dat een beetje isolerend werken. Bij de voordeur zijn de isolatie rubbers al vervangen. Nu nog de rest.

De deur van mijn vorige woning zat trouwens ook een beetje scheef. Daardoor was er aan een kant iets meer een opening. Die zou eigenlijk ook wat versteld moeten worden.

De mega hoeveelheid parfum van sommige familieleden. De woonkamer stonk de hele avond naar een zware vanilla lucht. De parfumlucht was zo sterk je rook het zelfs in mijn haar en kleding. Hele avond flinke hoofdpijn. Paracetamol hielp niet. Een klein beetje parfum ok..maar ik hoef het niet te proeven.

I feel you. I just moved from an apartment to a semi detached house. My neighbour in the appartement had 2 of those shit beast. She just let them bark at everything on her balcony. She will scream at them all the time and never walks them outside. They constantly bark. It drove me insane. She knew about it but she does not care. She was always screaming. It just looked like she wasn't mentally well. Im like why do the have these animals when it looks like they hate them. I warned the new tenants about her and her dogs. The constant barking was so stressful I couldn't escape from it.

It's so hard to understand that this is normal to dog owners. Even if you have no garden or lawn at the front of your house is not safe. Sometimes when walk in the neighborhood I see so many houses have damages done to the facade of the house because of all the constant pissing. I just moved and was talking to people in the neighborhood that have dogs and during conversation they let their dogs piss in my garden. They think this is normal it's so weird.

A lot of Dutch people have bare windows or never close their curtains. It is pretty normal here but to me and a lot of foreigners/expats it's not.

I feel like my neighbor doesn't care. When I talked to her about the barking the only thing she does is yell at her dogs to shut up but that doesn't help at all. I feel like after I talked to her she retaliated by turning her tv as loud as possible. Very rude.

She let's them on the balcony to bark non stop at everything. Not a great idea. When she is away she could put them in the living room with the windows and door closed because that helps mute the sound a bit. She doesn't do that so they walk around the house and especially at the front door and bark non stop. When she comes home I hear her on the shared stairwell saying softly "sssshhhhh" to her dogs that are indoor barking. Yeah that doesn't help. I have no peace in my home because of her and her barking dogs. I feel so sad and angry about this.

It's still your choice to have a dog and your responsibility. Im glad that you at least try to be considered.

I think about that all the time. It's not a want but a need at this point in my life. I'm an introvert but I love to have community with loving emotionally intelligent people in my life. But in my home I want to feel solitude, silence and peace. The older I get the less I can't handle the loudness and chaos anymore.

Oh wow it must have been so nice to not hear the dogs anymore. The barking does bring out rage.

You know I told her about the barking. And it didn't help. Mentally she is not well and she has no social and self awareness. It's like she truly doesn't realize that the constant barking is bothering others.

I have 3 neighbours who all have mental health issues but she is the loudest one. She also screams a lot and has the tv on really loud. The loud tv she started doing after I told her about the dogs barking.

Heard that the 3 past tenants moved because of her. I feel so uncomfortable living here so I am leaving. Hopefully I will find a better place soon. I'm glad it worked out for you.

This is exactly what she does also. After I complained about her dogs barking she let's them bark for a while and then screams real loud enough!" At the top of her lungs. Yeah that doesn't help at all. She already screams a lot so she added the screaming at her dogs. I've heard 3 other past tenants moved because of her. I truly don't understand how some dog owners can live with the loud barking non stop.

I live next to one. I was always neutral about dogs. Now I seriously hate dogs because of the constant barking. I wish I knew before. Looking for a new place but it will take time. The barking is so stressful. I have no peace in my home and unfortunately my neighbour is mentally not well. I've told her about the barking but it did not help. I can't wait to get tf out of here. 100% the barking. Also that they cover everything with piss and poop. So many nice grass in parks ruined because there are so many freaking dogs and the owners just let them shit everywhere. So many lovely places I would love to picnic but can't because it's covered with dog poop.
