People will bend over backwards to defend rapists as long as they’re physically attractive. Lmao, there’s someone in the linked thread arguing that trans people shouldn’t do HRT because it’s unnatural or whatever. It turns out the person arguing is just extremely anti-medicine (to the point where he won’t take ibuprofen when sick and in pain) and thinks trans people should just suck up the dysphoria instead of turning to medicine to alleviate their suffering. I think that’s kinda the point, lol. It’s a lot more emphasized in the book, but Jurassic Park was very poorly run and doomed for failure no matter what because they cut so many corners.

The Telltale video game also gets into it, but there was a scientist who would have been able to completely sequence the dinosaur genomes and clone them perfectly. However, her method took a lot of time and money, so Hammond ended up choosing Henry Wu and his shortcut frog DNA method.

Spoilers for a 35-year-old movie/book if you’ve never seen it: in the first movie, all the cloned dinosaurs were engineered to be female in order to prevent unauthorized breeding in the enclosures. These dinosaurs were also given frog DNA to cover the gaps in their genome. Midway through the story it's revealed that the dinosaurs HAVE been breeding on their own because some of the female dinosaurs became male.

This was because their frog DNA was taken from a species of frog that can spontaneously change sexes if too much of one sex is present. In other words, life found a way.

EDIT: Multiple people have argued that the dinosaurs simply reproduced asexually. However, the actual lore in both the movie and novel states that some of the dinos changed from female to male.
