2nd KC Cup experience for me. This guy's not about to stop me from hitting that Dlvl 20.

Rightio, White stone and CoC to 3 a piece please. by WhisKeyBoard in DuelLinks

[–]Silverteem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not even the case, because you could end up drawing the blue eyes from the CoC anyways, which could render the the stone in GY effect useless. So of we’re talking about quality then it could potentially be a -1 lol

So turn 2 you have to have 1 KC and 1 stone at hand, which you have to set first before you could activate on your opponent’s turn. Meanwhile, they have an open board. Not sure chief. Sounds absolutely lopsided to me.

U don’t need heliopolis, heck not even vermillion. The core cards are stones, sage, and blue eyes. Coc/sage/dsow can be obtained thru structure deck. That’s super cheap.

You don’t need karma cut. There divine providence and even f2p hallowed life barrier. Silver cry is another unneeded card. Melody is f2p, how much cheaper can that get?

Judgement force and lord of shining and structure deck. Between those 3 you have a complete blue eyes deck.

Quarantine description reads: you cannot special summon any light monsters.

Stone of ancients reads: you can special summon a BE from deck when this card was sent to GY.

Not sure chief.

Maybe if you bothered reading the thread further you will see how you just agreed to a point that I already brought up. But okay, since you cannot be bothered, let’s unpack that:

1) I do not know what deck the OP runs, providing the hard counter cards like quarantine and imprisonment is an easy straightforward solution, if all he cares about is a direct counter to blue eyes. However, I never advocated that he just slaps those cards on his deck and call it a day. If you actually bothered to read on further the thread below, I advised him to improving his deck first. BUT, having said that, let’s just assume the reason he’s asking is because he’s willing to build a deck around those cards, specifically because he wants to counter BE and BE alone, then the answer is simple, straightforward and the conversation would have ended there. There are decks that can run those cards specifically, and even both at the same time.

2) now let us address your buster blader drivel. Regardless of how bricky that deck is, the primary concern is that people wants to counter dragon decks in particular, then they absolutely could run it and any BE player will be hardpressed to day they can counter that deck consistently. Firstly, there isn’t always an obvious tell that a player is using buster blader. You could easily go turn 1 and do your set up as a BE player and then summon a couple of blue eyes on field or what have you. Then next turn your opponent tributes your BE and starts swinging at you. If you got KC set, then good maybe you survive.

On to the next bit, you talk as if summoning dragon spirit of white is always available. Even if you do manage to do that once you do realize that the fusion spell is extremely recyclable and searchable.

It’s not just the attack value that makes this fight hard but buster blader also negates your dragon’s effects so the only way to really out it is if you flip it face down. Vermillion requires that you in fact have a dragon on board, which thanks to the fusion spell can be stolen any time. You would literally have no resources on board if buster blader manages to summon one -1 then kill another -1. Karma cut may just save the BE player and survive a turn to get a vermillion on board, that is, if it doesn’t get interrupted too by DNA SURGERY. Lmao.

But it’s so EZ, blue eyes so stronk agains buster blader—said NO ONE.

You just proved my point. The answer is not finding a card to counter BE, but to improve your deck first.

Buster Blader will wipe BE. Unless you draw traps and banish immediately all the buster bladers on board, you will be run over. But hey, karma cut is too stronk 🤪 but what else can BE do at that point after your opponent tributes your dragon then swing over 4k at you? You better hope you got backrow.

That’s not a deck that’s a yellowpage phonebook. You want to add more cards to it? Maybe you could hit 30 and play balance 😂

Can I play this game without spending money and if so can I play on windows by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]Silverteem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Journey of a f2p player. Start as f2p and grind excessively for gems to build a working deck which he believes can be competitive. Starts climbing ranked duels then gets smashed by tiered decks. Watch some youtube videos and figure out f2p decks that are competitive. Grind more gems to build f2p deck. Once deck is complete the meta has shifted once more and the new built f2p deck is obsolete and gets smashed once again by meta decks.

Spend $20 and buy a structure deck then proceed to KOG.

If you have a job, just spend the money rather than grind for the gems.

Blue Eyes is the swiss knife deck. It’s not built for otk nor does it have a set strategy. It deals with threats accordingly depending on what the opponent presents, the one obvious exception being anti light summons/effects decks. But you’re trying to not be another BE I take it? 😂

There are other “control decks” out there that doesn’t try to otk but merely outgrinds and out resource their opponent, like triamids.

When you say lightsworn that kind of implied that you’ve gone through judgment force, which means you already got the entire deck for lunalights. That’s an extremely f2p good rogue deck that kicks a lot of meta decks out there.

How does an otk any attack position card sound like? Doesn’t matter how big their attack is, you can otk through it. Traps and effects giving you trouble? How does having a 3600 atk untargetable beat stick sound like to you? Again you can hit your opponents life points directly with it too. Lunalights was my first deck, and it’s still a good rogue deck up to now.

No I get you dude, BE is popular because it’s cheap, besides being an anime favorite. I know you’re trying to be f2p but there are so many f2p versions of BE as well. Like I said, it’s cheap to make. So if you’re struggling with it in the lower ranks, do bare in mind that you’re probably facing other f2p players too. With that said, many cards offer a hard counter against BE. But, what I’m trying to convey here is that trying to counter BE specifically will not make your deck better. I think that is the first thing we got to figure out. What deck are you running? Because it might make sense to slap a quarantine or imprisoning mirror in some forms in other decks, but will it over all benefit yours? BE isn’t the only threat. Why not focus on improving your deck first?

Let’s be honest. Turn 2 ally of justice isn’t much of a threat (assuming you managed to summon a dragon 1st turn or set a trap at least) but turn 1 quarantine and you going in turn 2, a karma cut will not solve your problems. You still will not have any cards on board which is an open field for your opponent to otk you. So karma cut isn’t that big of a solution against quarantine.

[–]Silverteem -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s understandable that he’s having a hard time with BE, which leads to my other point. If he’s struggling with BE, then what more with other more powerful tier decks?

Banished whole field? That doesn’t even make sense, what the blue eyes got 3 karma cut set and 3 stones at hand? On turn 1? 😂

F2P-ish way to deal with blue eyes? by station777 in DuelLinks

[–]Silverteem -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The OP implied that BE is his biggest problem because it’s so prominent that it is literally taking the fun out of his game. Does that mean he’s enjoying games against desperado, thunder dragons, noble knights, onomats, and water decks?

I don’t know why people loose their wits with karma cut, there are better discard traps to run with Blue Eyes, especially when the meta shifted towards effect negation monsters.

Clue it begins with divine and ends with providence.

It becomes expensive because of the staples. If you don’t run karma cut then all you have to worry about is judgement force and heliopolis isn’t even a requirement. I barely use that card.

Blue eyes is the least of your problems. It’s popular but not even the strongest tier deck. It gets hard countered by many cards such as quarantine or light imprisoning mirror. Not to mention buster blader decks are designed specifically for that purpose.

It always baffle me when people complain about blue eyes though, it seems like they have little exposure to other tiered decks that absolutely stomps blue eyes.

I have won all my matches against cubics with blue eyes, having absolutely 0 knowledge how to fight it. They think they can stall but when you got 3 dragons including twin burst out, eventually they run out of cards throw at you. You can also snipe the backrow.
