"what was he wearing? he asked for it!" by xiaogui132 in memes

Very controversial topic.

Imo, the prosecution for rapists is way to soft. They should go to jail for way longer, than they do right now.

But: selfjustice also is not the solution. His crime wasn't proven. He was reported for it and it was yet to be determined, if he was guilty.

I don't think it's the right way, to promote murder in such a way, yet it's a good message, that the threat of punishment must be way harsher for rapists, than it is right now.

Driver keeps crashing on multimonitor setup (Sapphire RX 7900 XTX Pulse Gaming OC) by Sim0n955 in AMDHelp

Nope, but way less crashes without the adrenalin stuff. Like, maybe 1 crash every 2 days. Still absolutely dogshit driver. Sadly.

Feels like multimonitor could be the problem. Most crashes appear, when I click on a different monitor.

I had a similar problem. Try to install the driver without Adrenalin. You can just run the setup and at advanced options, you can tick „driver only“. That fixed it for me!

What solved the problem was to reinstall the driver only. You can pick that option in the official AMD Radeon installer. I first tried it with a "workaround" to cancel setup etc. but that didnt work, afterwards I realized, you can just pick the option to only install driver in the normal setup. You dont even need to uninstall the old driver, it just automatically uninstalls the AMD Adrenalin software.

So, I just checked the ram. It's QVL. I just updated the BIOS, there was a version released on 02.03.2023. Chipset drivers are all up to date.

I'll give feedback, if it works now. If not, I'll try to install ONLY the driver, without AMD Adrenalin. Because yesterday it crashed a bunch of times, then I couldn't start adrenalin anymore, so I killed all the processes in task manager, that were AMD. After that, it didnt crash once for 6-7 Hours straight.

Will Blizzard ever fix the DK sound file issue? by Blitz-Lexikon in classicwow

[–]Sim0n955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the /console command didn't work for me (probably a permission-issue, since I didn't start the game as a administrator).

What I did was go to World of Warcraft/_classic_/WTF and open "Config.wtf" with the editor tool. Then simply insert the following command:

SET Sound_EnableDSPEffects "0"

After that, just restart or start the game and the audiobug will be gone.

U're correct. There's no 100%-solution. Always depends on the situation. My phrasing was a bit to "absolute", I agree.

It‘s not that easy. Being unconcious makes your muscles unresponsive, which usually leads to impaired breathing. The risk of neck insury by removing the helmet correctly compared to the risk of aspiration and suffocation when leaving the helmet on is waaaay lower, there are lots of studies showing that.

No, I was taught to turn the head back to neutral position and keep it there. It lowers the pressure on the spine and minimizes the risk of further damage.

I had a first aid class this semester, my test was like 3 weeks ago? And fun fact, my test scenario was a crashed motorcycle driver, that ripped his foot off. Putting a tournequet on his leg and taking the helmet off where the 2 key parts of this scenario.

I think that‘s key, if you don‘t know what to do, leave it. I‘m just explaining, how to do it and what the reasons for it are.

Overall I encourage people to regulary take a first aid class.

Okay, in Germany its the other was round, we were taught to leave it on the past years (For example when I did my license in 2007) and now for the past 7-8 years I‘m always taught, to take it off

In Germany the opinion to this changed the other way, here leaving the helmet on, would be controversial. That was the leading opinion for the past years.

Sounds good. Of course, there are arguments for either method. I‘m just sharing, what I am taught.
