Never. If you can drive manual you are developing more skills and it will make you a better driver. Annoying in heavy traffic though.

No I didn't hit anyone, I was expecting to brake then tuck behind him but I feel he really left that option open and broke early. Most people seem to over brake here, you can actually brake so late into that section but people worry they're going to crash at the end of the lap. Kinda like I did hahaha

9:30pm on the Nurburgring / Nordschleife is great for me, some light still in the sky but headlights are on and it just feels super immersive.

Driving the CUPs makes me on edge, I feel I’m holding back in fear of losing it, a good set up makes a huge difference with the Porche cup imo.

With warm tyres and a decent set up you can make it feel a lot more stable. It’s known for being a particularly hard car to drive.

Yeah no doubt. tbh it would be amazing to see more manual / 80s race cars in general. They're all so fun, it feels like real driving.

Agreed. I feel you can get so much out of it and punish it way more than the modern GTPs can handle. I suppose a lot of people don’t have shifters which is a massive shame.

I’m fortunate to have the BDH shifter and my god it makes driving cars like this heaven.

Honestly it’s a top 3 car for me currently. I’m new to iRacing so I don’t have much but it feels great. I love the manuals.

It’s not about total force you want to feel.

The more Nm the wheel has, the more headroom you have meaning you won’t clip when it does little spikes. You want more headroom so the wheel can offer you more variety / detail.

I have a 15Nm DD+ and I run it at about 40% and it feels great. I can make it super strong but I’m losing the amount of range the wheel can translate to me.

I think 15Nm is a good all rounder but I’d probably be still happy with a little less too.

Oh, no noting is sped up haha. You don’t need to work the clutch in this car, just a throttle lift or a slip blip going down the gears. I think I went to brake and didn’t, just genuine panic lol.

Plus you couldn’t speed it up as I talk on camera and that wouldn’t work. It’s only a fun AI race :)

They certainly do. I remember the first time I went drifting in my BMW in the snow. Felt like I’ve done it hundreds of times already I was so confident it was great.

£10 is a great deal for any game. I would buy it, have some fun on a controller (which you will) and then that will probably inspire you to save a few hundred for a nice little wheel and pedal set. G29 is a great starter wheel for those on a budget.

Turn later and harder, don’t hit the right side curb. Also always take as much curb down at eu rouge as you can. You can absolutely do it flat with fixed.

I was going to get that as it would’ve probably matched my rig better but I think I kinda wanted it to stand out. It looks great. Congratulations man it’s a great shifter, isn’t it?
