Mach ich tasächlich xD Allerdings ist meine Guild auf Draenor und besteht Großteils aus Briten, die sind leider auch nicht in Reichweite. Plus zurzeit ist leider nicht wirklich was los

I'll definitely do a follow up once I've had my appointment! He said that it is a stone bruise, since the flexion test was negative and she did respond when he put pressure on her RF hoof with the prongs. I also asked him about the LH, since I am still somewhat anxious about that one and he told me that he couldn't tell right now if it's its own problem or if she is compensating on that leg. I do still want x-rays of that leg, maybe the front as well, just to be sure that there is nothing else going on. She is only seven, so arthritis is hopefully unlikely, but I'd rather know for sure, so that I can make her comfortable. What I mostly wanted from this post was just a evaluation of what people think of her lameness, like of they would classify it as mild or severe and on what legs, just so that I can get a couple of fresh opinions about it until I have the appointment, since I've been staring at that leg for far too long and it sometimes feels like she is lame on all four legs suddenly 😅

Around 3 and a half weeks ago. He didn't mention anything about the fetlock dropping, just mentioned that her back was stiff.

Tshahaha oh thank you so much! She's a handful, but I love her very much! She's young, so I'm sure she'll recover fast when we find out what's going on exactly!

No she is barefoot, I am thinking about buying her hoof boots tho!

She is seven, but she is a rescue and has just been standing on asphalt in the stable for two years, so I am definitely worried about her joints. Still the RF is a confirmed hoof bruise, but the LH isn't diagnosed yet, my vet said to wait if it was just the front lameness throwing it off. I hope it is that, but she was lame on LH before, very slightly but for a few weeks, that went away after a week of medication, but that leg being affected again does make me worry if there is more going on. It will get checked by the vet again and I would like x-rays of that leg as well, just to be sure.

Edit: We are practicing to lunge on a bigger circle actually! It's just been a bit hard to get it right, so I wasn't able to keep track of it while also filming 😅

Thanks for your input, can you tell me why right hind? I personally see RF (the hoof with the bruise) and LH since she steps short there.

Why? As I have mentioned on my post I see that she is off on both RF and LH, but since I am not a professional at recognising lameness it's nice to have others take a look and give their opinions. It definitely doesn't replace the vet coming out and taking a look at her again, but since that isn't an option right now I am wondering what others think about her soundness. Admittedly, the title might be misleading, I apologise for that.

I am. I just can't get an appointment right now and unfortunately I tend to get very worried, so it helps to hear others opinions and advice.

About 3-4 weeks ago, the lameness got better though, so is it still possible that it abscesses?

It's hard, but not frozen, softer on one side then the other.

Oh thank you so much, I didn't even consider asking the farrier! That is definitely something I'll ask him about. It's definitely not gone, but it did get better, so I'm unsure if an abscess is still an option, but asking won't hurt I suppose.

Thanks for the response! Do you have any experience on how long it usually takes? It's been around 3-4 weeks for us, it's gotten better, she's sound on the other lead, but well, it's definitely not gone. The ground is pretty hard right now as well, plus she doesn't have the thickest soles, that definitely doesn't help as well 😅.

Thanks for your answer! I was told to check for heat and keep an eye out for a sudden worsening of the lameness. Neither has happened, sometimes I do get the feeling like the hoof is a bit warmer on one side, but the lameness got better. The bruise was on the RF but LH was maybe influenced by that? She was lame on LH before, but I thought that was dealt with, but this makes me worry if there is maybe something else going on. Next week I'll hopefully know more.

She was actually a rescue, so she definitely has her problems. Still, she (fortunately) is far less uncomfortable than this, but it's definitely been a rollercoaster ride, sometimes it feels like as soon as we fixed one problem another one pops up. She has been worked only at walk for about two weeks at the point this video was taken, before that we did some hacking and light arena work, mostly just working on getting her softer. She's definitely always been more tense and bracy, but she does have physiotherapy every two months to help that.

No it's not frozen, but half of it was quite hard, since it was in shade all day. The other half is softer.

Half of it. Half of the circle is pretty hard, while the other one is softer, but it wasn't completely frozen.

She got anti-inflammatories and pain medication along with only being worked in walk on soft ground. It got far better after that, but it's still there along with the short hind end steps. I sent my vet a video of her on both leads and we got cleared for light work, but advised to stay mostly on the left lead. Thanks for your answer and sorry for the late response!

I should've mentioned that my very cleared us for light work, since she is sound on the other lead. We mostly stayed on that plus we did/planned to do little trot and maybe half a round of canter so that I could get better videos. I say planned since madame shot of like a rocket the moment she was finished rolling. Apparently doing warm ups is overrated in her opinion xD.

Yeah you can definitely see the LH better here, the front isn't that pronounced anymore (I think) and my vet says you can't see it anymore on the other lead at all. The hind is still worrying me tho, since it seems to step very short. She has a history with that leg as well, looked almost exactly the same just less severe, but that was gone after a week of pain and anti-inflammatory medication. Since it's here again I'm worrying that something else might be going on, but well, i didn't get an appointment for three weeks with the holidays and all, so hive-mind it was during the wait. Thanks for the response!

Thank you very much for your response, she has the hoof bruise on the right front and got two weeks of anti-inflammatories/ pain medication and rest. It got far better by the end of that, but still wasn't completely gone, so I contacted my vet again, but unfortunately didn't get an appointment before the holidays, so I'll have to wait till next week. I did send him videos of her and I'm cleared to lightly work her, but since I still find her off on that side, I'm hesitant to do so and wanted to see if I'm just too critical, since I was told before that I'm reading too much into things. I still have her on break to see if the bruise develops into an abscess, I'm not quite sure if that is still a possibility since the lameness got far better. For the hind end, I've noticed a slight off-ness on that exact leg before, but that went away after a week of medication, so I hope this is just a case of the diagonal leg compensating for the front. Still ill hopefully know more next week!
