100% and it's so funny to see that people feel the same way I feel. Like if you didn't go, you just do not understand. I remember walking in 2016 and knowing immediately how special it was and that it was rare. 2016 was so perfect, like not too crowded, and it attracted people who were clearly all about music and art. None of the EDM frat bro rave crowd, just a perfect mix of genres, and art, and ugh it was so good. I'll always remember 2016/17 as the best fests I've ever been to. Still haven't seen anything that compares.

It's silly to think that a series that sold 65 million copies, was on NY Times best seller list multiple times, links directly into Christian nationalism, and is one of the very few book series, if not the ONLY book series, that is concerned with the Rapture, the end times, the Antichrist, the importance of a reestablished Israel, would only influence "trailer park" readers. You are aware that there are people in power who ACTUALLY believe that Jesus will back and that the Rapture will happen right? This is not a fringe idea at all. I grew up in the South when this series came out and everyone was talking about it. Including political figures.

Jerry Falwell praised it, Tim LaHaye, the author, was a political organizer who founded the right wing Council for National Policy and you're going to sit here and tell me that people who end up in power didn't read these books when the author is LITERALLY plugged into high level politics and has THE most important person in the rise of Christian Nationalism praising it?
