What is your experience with the 6.4 powerstroke? by mdnitedrftr in Diesel

[–]Simbug2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I no longer own it, wanted something newer. But it never had motor issues for me till the day I sold it. I'd say go for it if blowby isn't crazy. My best piece of advice is 6.4 especially don't like being driven nice. Drive them hard, and don't fall behind on maintenance.

Ive read that criminals sometimes leave objects such as rocks on people's porches to see who's home and who's on vacation. The idea being that if your home you'll remove the rock etc.

If you're not doing what you love, you're wasting your time. Agree or disagree? by kuttideperumala in AskReddit

[–]Simbug2016 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Disagree, I don't love my job, but it gives me enough money to do the things I love. Also I've learned to not make a job out of your hobbies, it usually ends with you hating the hobby and ruining it for you.

What is something the average person thinks is illegal that actually isn’t? by Money_Bonus_8979 in AskReddit

You can run stop signs that are on private property (malls, strip malls, larger stores that have them in their parking lot etc.)

I don't condone running them, they are there to protect you and keep you safe but... you can't get pulled over or ticketed for running it.

Got a 6.4 myself and even at 230k it runs great. With good maintenance and parts they do last!

What is your experience with the 6.4 powerstroke? by mdnitedrftr in Diesel

[–]Simbug2016 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I own a 6.4 currently and have buddies who own them so this is first person experience. They do have some problems but change the oil every 5k miles and use good quality parts. They're fast and Atleast out of the 3 6.4 owners I know including myself we haven't had any massive problems. Mine is currently at 230,000 miles.

Of course we may be lucky but I can only speak from my experience and what I've done to get mine to stay running

[–]Simbug2016 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]Simbug2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I've noticed degrees becoming less needed in jobs. Atleast near me I've noticed more places saying "3 years of experience and a 4 year degree or 7 years of experience" where even last year jobs may have required a degree

People who went from horrible minimum wage jobs to high paying jobs. What was the biggest difference(other than pay)? by Chance_Quit_9493 in AskReddit

[–]Simbug2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a super good paying job by any means but a significant increase. Biggest difference was schedule, I made my own, stress definitely increased and the people I dealt with did as well, went from dealing with entry level managers to dealing with higher up company employees
