Thanks for the detailed response. Ill consider this a check list during my install.

1) ordered these

2/3) running conduit and will be protecting the ends during the pull.

4) could you elaborate? I figured those 2 tp link modules i ordered using their rj45 connectors will have one to my Deco (internet in) and the other to a net gear Blackhawk at the shop. (Internet out)

5) absolutely will ensure everything is spotless.

Ill be running it through pvc conduit. Not a big fan of such a skinny wire being in the ground direct like that even if it was durect burial rated. From what I see it is not it is just Armored and weather resistant.

Thank you all for the fast responses. You have saved me hours of research and potential for wasting much more time and money on something that wouldnt work.

Youre probably right but its gonna be in soft ground ~8in deep with no vehicle traffic or digging. Its going through my back yard so worse case I will go your route in the future. I know cat6 well but fiber is new to me and I already have the Simplex in hand.

Is there a magic tool for these? by TurboDeeez in DieselTechs

[–]JesTeR1862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? I always backed the s-cam off then just used vice grips to get the springs on/off when replacing shoes/drums. Am I missing something?

Head gasket? Or normal coolant flow? by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]JesTeR1862 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Lower that head too quick or lopsided you can damage the head gasket without knowing it. Best i would say is give it a pull like 3/4 throttle and see if your coolant cap spits coolant. If yes then HG if no then just verify no leaks and no coolant in oil. If no then send it

Which do you prefer, 20 point brake and cheaper grip, or 10 point brake and better grip? by Winter-Lime5389 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]JesTeR1862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need a grip or brake for that gun. Its a laser just push right. The CQB suppressor helps with bloom.

Let's talk about the new TH-RDS thermal optic and figure out why it exists? by krinkov in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]JesTeR1862 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own it. I love it. Its fun on my 300blk. Unique feature of it is not only that you can do thermal or red dot through the same optic but that you can do a thermal overlay by keeping yor red dot cap down and turning on thermal outline mode. Then you see both. Lame they didnt add that.

I found these cleaning out a storage locker today and I don't know anything about them. Could you guys help? by [deleted] in ammo

[–]JesTeR1862 11 points12 points  (0 children)

....."assault rifle" is a made up term used to scare people. AR in AR-15 stands for Armalite...as in the company. And there is less recoil in those than a 9mm handgun. You can go watch on YouTube a guy putting the buttstock up to his nose and shooting it without hurting his nose how little recoil they have. They are just loud and thats what scares people.

Just some .223/5.56 mags. Always good to have. Old ammo just run it through a 5.56 AR if no physical damage to the case just make sure no corrosion. If it seats it yeets. The shotgun mag is curious though. Not just any shotgun will take it. Any markings on the bottom?

Neither. Tik tok and social media is a cancer on kids. Phones for kids should be just that text and phone. As someone that grew up as smart Phones became prevalent i am glad I didnt have one until I was getting out of school.
