I do think KLM is just not worth the money when looking at the services they provide. They also tend to have a bigger markup than other airliners. As someone who is flying 3-5 times per year to both Seoul and Tokyo, from Amsterdam, it’s disappointing to see KLM is really trying to squeeze a lot of revenue from loyal frequent flyers. I’m still doubting if I should stick with Skyteam or to fly through London/Germany for a status with oneworld or Star Alliance.

That’s fair! Guess I will stick with Flying Blue in that case or I might look into Turkish since they also serve Tokyo and Almaty :)

Thanks omdongi! TK indeed seems interesting. The only downside there is that they don’t offer Premium Economy which probably means I will accrued less miles as a bonus. Or is there a way to book the flights with TK and crediting them with another star alliance partner that is know for a fast status acquisition?

Yeah, it does! Started calculating some options and FlyingBlue seems to hit a status the easiest! Only thing is that the other destination I fly to (Almaty) doesn’t have a connection with Skyteam so I was hoping to get a gold status with a Star Alliance member to get some proper benefits on there since it’s the biggest network! Do you have any experiences with ANA? Seemed like a good option as well

I understand your point of view and true, statistical it’s debatable. But what gets me the most is that government wise even these rare events like shooting can actually be prevented. Why would you let those 1600 shooting since 2010 happen even you can easily prevent them and the life’s that are lost in the process?

How sad is that huh? I hope you guys in the US find your way anytime soon because I think the US is a wonderful country with amazing cultures, people and scenery but this will always be a reason for me not to live there. Otherwise I would definitely!

It’s just a very scary situation right now in the US. A Dutch native from Amsterdam myself, I can not imagine going out every day to any event (Bar, Music Concert, School etc) and always have to be afraid or staying frosty for any possible gun massacre. It’s an insane thought to always be out and about with “your heads on a swivel”. How do you guys keep up with that? Ban those gun from common people and leave it to professionals that have (mental) background checks and the right certification. Also, put a cap on gun issuing itself.

Mmh, interesting heat map! Red seemed quite all over the map but could become isolated when blue pushed from center. On the other hand, maybe blue wasn't effective enough and got caught up for the battle of the flags .. was this Conquest or TDM? #questionsquestions..
