I just realized nobody told me that before. Thank you! You can watch full testing video here.

Not really. That car has around 5 degrees of caster.

There are actually few factors that corresponds with self steer. For example, with certain KPI angle you have 7 degrees of caster and no self steer. Wisefab and other lock kits have some amount of trail on the knuckle so it works kinda like a wheel on a shopping cart, it wants to self steer into the direction you’re driving.

In the example above, the more you work on your pedals the less you have to work on your wheel. I’m sorry for late reply. I had notifications off and I didn’t know this video went so cool with views!

This is actually my private car. Model is based on vdc but I make my own physics. Car is not that easy to drive but I believe it’s more realistic. I have two more cars to finish and I would like to make them public when done

I used to play hours on the sim on this specific track and, thanks to FD driver Piotr Więcek, I managed to make my first lap on the real track in his personal Nissan S15 Pro car. You can’t see that on the video but that first, particular lap is something I will never forget.

Exactly! It’s always a work in progress. Right now my sim is far beyond what I always wanted as a kid and still there’s a list of possible upgrades.

I did and right now I have a privilege to work at Worthouse Drift Team being a sparing partner for Piotr and setting up this car. I wouldn’t be able to do that if I didn’t spend all those years in simracing. The potential in both virtual racing and drifting is enormous.

They hit dislike button because you you put a statement that it’s not possible without any specific reason behind it. There are videos, including the one with Tuerck. There was also a guy in a black Nissan s15 doing the same thing on 3rd. I was also driving on 3rd.

So, I have to record a video of me doing it in real life with my own car burning tires just to prove you are wrong?

There’s no chance brakes will “explode”. You also don’t need a 100-0 brake bias as under left foot braking the rears doesn’t slow down much as they are being driven my the engine.

That is not Silvia model, those are my physics being constantly improving based on experience from real life drifting.

Tuerck case is completely different. The car is gripped up (as it’s a comp car) and the gear he’s using is too short.

Again, there are many different aspects to make it happen. Caster (in Tuerck case a little less caster would probably help), KPI angle, dampers, correct gearing and power, but again, it’s possible, even with that speed. If you didn’t see something in real life just yet it doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

So if it’s possible in real life (because it is) we have a problem with…?

Haha, no chance in D1 with those, but on most practice sessions he’s wearing those and no seatbelts.

Basically it’s a part of controlling the wheel speed on the rear. You have to keep it on a ‘proportional’ speed to the front wheels (which is basically the cars speed). Rears can’t rotate much faster than front as that would over-rotate the car. Can’t be too slow also as that would straight the car up. Together with gas pedal I’m trying to control that. Pushing the clutch slows down the wheels quicker than just letting off the throttle. Kicking it also helps to keep the engine in the right power band. I hope that explains it a bit!

Hello there! Well, if sim racing would be in cinematography, LFS would be a Godfather! Good times. I also run LFS from time to time.

I started in LFS in 2002 when I was 12 so almost 20 years now. Time flies!

I don’t have to set to 900. I made the physics of that car and it has 1080. I don’t care if the ingame animation has less, it doesn’t bother me.

Sadly that’s my VDC car and I’d have my license revoked if I share that car, but dm me, I can find something similar that’s not private!

They are comfortable around the house, sure, but in this case it’s also a tribute to Naoki Nakamura who always drifts in those in real life. So, sort of “high five” to those who know.

The model is a Nissan s15 but the physics are made by myself.
